Hello great members of steemkids community, it's my delight to participate in this contest. The fact remains that club5050 is a new concept that has come to stay because of its numerous benefits.

WHAT DOES CLUB5050 MEAN?

Club5050 is a term that is related to one's earnings for the last seven days in steemit platform. The term simply means that from all your earnings for the last seven days in your wallet, you must power up at least 50% of the earnings while you can cash out the rest. I said at least 50% of your earnings because it is encouraged that you power up more than that. So any earning you transfer out from your wallet, there must be at least the same amount that you must power up.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

There are numerous benefits that come from powering up at least 50% of your earnings.

• It will help you to grow your steem power which in turn increases your influence in the system.
• When you have more steem power in your wallet, you earn more curation rewards.
• It is also a means of savings.
• It affects the steem economy positively, because when you hold more of the coins instead of cashing out every time, the price of steem will definitely increase which will also benefit everyone.
• The concept will also help communities to build up more steem power from their members, helping them to sustain themselves than always relying on voting assistance from the curators.

The fact is, joining club5050 is not mandatory, but considering the numerous benefits that are associated with it, it is a wise course for everyone to join club5050.

WHEN SHOULD THE TAG #CLUB5050 BE USED?

The club5050 tag should be used on a post that you are making to show that you just powered up at least 50% of all your earnings for the last seven days. It is on that post that you should use the tag.
