*Steemit Engagement Challenge S6/W1 - *The Joy Of Parenthood

Hello Steemians, You are welcome to read @jasminemary's post today. Here in this post, I have discussed about The Joy of Parenthood. Although I am not yet a mother, I obviously know some of the joys that parents do have.

What joys are experienced by parents upon becoming parents?

In Nigeria and in the world at large, there is usually joy when a new baby is born, and the father of the baby and even the whole family will be very happy about having a new child. To this end, there is no doubt that "giving birth to a new baby" is the number one joy that every parent experiences, even those that are planning to become parents.

Another joy that parents experience and even those who are planning to become parents experience is Happiness and Peace of Mind after getting married, both the husband and wife will always want to be happy with each other. Both parties will make sure that there is nothing like discord or any issue that can ruin their marriage. To this end, when both parties are faithful to each other, there is usually joy among them. But in a case where either the man or the woman is a cheater, there is usually fighting and miscommunication.

Finally, seeing how healthy children are growing at home with their parents usually gives them joy. It is the desire of every parent to see their children grow up with good health and a solid academic foundation.

What does this joy prompt them to do for their kids, and to what extent are they ready to carry out their responsibilities towards their kids?

One of the things that prompt parents to do for their kids is when they notice that their kids are taking their studies very seriously. When kids are paying attention to things that will make them better in life, their parents are prompt to go the extra mile in supporting them.

In a home where the kids are very bright, some parents go to extra lengths, such as taking loans from the bank or selling their properties, in order to provide the kid with the best education possible. To parents, their children's education is very important, just like in my family, where my dad hardly buys any of us clothes, but when it comes to anything that has to do with our education, he doesn't mind selling his property to provide the money for us. But if you asked him for money aside from school stuff, he may not answer you.

Does this joy increase as the child grows? What can contribute to the joy parents experience?

Parents' joy increases as their children grow up respecting them and fearing God Almighty. If a child is growing up the way his or her parents like, there will definitely be joy in the parents. Also, the character of a child increases the joy of his or her parents. For example, if a child is doing well in school (academically) or has ambitions as to what he or she wants to achieve, the parent of that child will tend to be very happy because of the values that their child has. Although, if the character of a child is bad in such a way that people are complaining, the parents will be angry with the child.

Do you wish to be a parent, or are you already one? Do you expect the same joy or are you already experiencing it as a parent?

Yes, I wish to be a parent one day. I cannot just wait to carry my own child and feed him or her with my own breast milk. It is the desire of almost every lady to get married once they are 25 years old and older, and that is what I am praying for as a lady: to have a lovely home.

What hopes of happiness do you have as a parent for your child later?

There are a lot of things that I hope for when I become a parent. Honestly, I hope for a long life where I can get to see my grandchildren and spend time with them.

I also hope for a lovely family and lovely children who will value each other. I hope to see that my children are all beautiful and handsome.

I hope to see that there are people who are God-fearing and dedicated to the things of God and not worthless things.
