THE DIARY GAME: 12-31-24 | IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LAST HOUR OF THE YEAR 2024

Welcome to year 2025! Indeed it is full of hope and plans for a better year. Let me share to you our preparations before December ends.

On December 31st, around 7pm in the evening we decided to take pictures while the children were on mood. Actually we had hard times taking some pictures because we do not have photographer. We only set the the camera with time and place it on the corner. We had many shots and I only chose with good angle and edited a little.

It was a challenged taking family pictures with toddlers. My daughters just enjoy the moment without taking it seriously. They think it is just a game. I let them wore their new dresses with the same style.

After the pictorials, we decided to sing along. We love to sing especially Christian songs. This is our past time when we are at home especially now that we were waiting for the new year hour. Also, our daughters want to hold the microphone and sing without lyrics. This was our activity while waiting for the new year eve. Later, our daughters get sleepy. We went to bed at 9:00pm and minutes later they fell asleep.

At 11pm I started preparing the foods on the table. We decided to celebrate and open the year 2025 at our own house. The children were sleeping and only the two of us waits until 12 midnight came. Our simple foods were:

• rice platter
• grilled pork belly
• beef soup
• vegetable salad
• macaroni salad
• chiffon cake
• wine

When the table is ready, we took some pictures. We had early meal before 12 midnight. Only the two of us were present on the table while we do video call on our family on their houses. We prayed together first and then tasted every meal we had.

At 12 midnight, noises started to rise. Noises outdoors are very loud using any form of noises. We watched visible fireworks displays outside our house. We also monitor our children if they will be disturbed, but not.

We had simple celebration at home. It's very practical for the two of us. After all, it's not the offerings will matter, but our hard work as we walk another year in our life.
