MY MORNING AND AFTERNOON ACTIVITIES

My morning slumber was interrupted by a knock on my door, it was around 4pm. Although it was so early for someone to knock on my door, I wasn't surprised because I already knew it was my mom. Since we're running a restaurant, we need to get up early to prepare every food which was planned to be cooked before the daybreak, to avoid being late.

I found it difficult to get up from bed since I was still feeling sleepy, but I had to, so I gathered all the strength I had a get on my feet, then moved out to join my mom in the kitchen also with my brother, since there's a lot of things to do, there's no need to ask of what to do as it's was staying right at you so I just decided to help cut the vegetables.

My younger siblings also contributed; they helped in washing the plates and pots, pounding crawfish and peppers, and other simple tasks. Before it was 7 a.m., everything was done, and then my mom left for the restaurant; ant and I went back to complete my sleep, but going to bed again was a bad idea.

Although I knew that my work resumed at 8:am, I was still not discouraged, "let me just lay down a little; I won't sleep for long, just a little," I said to myself, but unfortunately, this little nap took an hour. Before I could realize it and get up, it was already 8:25 a.m what was I going to do, I would have decided not to go to work but I was on leave yesterday I can't be absent again today, and before I would get prepared and trek from where I leave to where I worked, the time would be close to 10:a.m. if you were in my shoe, what would you have done, would you rather go to work and receive the punishment or stay at home?

However, I didn't want to be absent again at work, so despite being late I still get prepared and go to work, being ready for anything that would happen rather than staying at home. On my way to work, I was hungry but couldn't get to my mom's restaurant to eat since I was late for work, so I bought a bean cake ( Akara) and breathed and subsided the hunger before going to my mom's restaurant to eat.

I arrived at my workplace, and my boss was already there, just as I expected; immediately I saw him, I was nervous. I started thinking of all types of punishment and how I would take them without feeling any pain. First, I greeted him, and he answered me in a normal tone. I was a little shocked because I wasn't expecting him to answer the greeting using a normal tone, but because of that, I didn't feel as nervous as before.

Moreover, customers started coming one after the other, I handled some and my boss handled some, it was around noon and I was very hungry, I had to go to Mom's shop to eat but I wasn't able to tell my boss that I want to go to my mom shop to ate my breakfast although it's was afternoon, I thought he won't allow and that he might even use that as punishment against me, but I manage to ask for his permission and he agrees, it seems his not angry with me as I thought.

Arriving at my mom's shop, I was surprised that the first meal, which I contributed in the morning, was finished, So I had to wait for my mom to make another one before I could eat. This made me spend more time there than how I expected.

Getting back to the workshop, my boss was working but was using a rechargeable clipper. This a type of clipper that can be used in barbing without the use of a generator or any source of external power supply. But the customer wasn't comfortable with it as the room was getting hot so I had to go get some fuel and run the generator.

It was when I went to get fuel I realized the impact of Christmas on most businesses; most shops and filling stations were closed, and even vehicles were few. With that, I still managed to get some fuel, but it was a long walk.

MY EVENING ACTIVITIES

As the day wore on, the evening sun began to set, casting a warm orange glow over the shop, it's was approximately 6:p.m when a familiar face walked in, @bossj23, an esteemed member of the Steemian community, as I had just seen him, I greeted him with a pleasant smile and ask about his preferred service. He opted for his usual haircut, which I carefully took my time to do so to ensure it met his standard. Focusing on delivering exceptional service, I forgot to capture a photo of the @bossj23 result, as the steady income of customers kept me occupied. Working solo that evening, and the absence of my boss left me feeling drained and exhausted.

Before I could finish my task, the day ended, and I had to wait for my boss to return; I couldn't just leave until he arrived, as I needed to ensure a smooth handover and discuss some urgent matters. As the minute ticked by, I continued to wait patiently until its stroke 9:p.m, It was at this precise movement that my boss returned, I was then able to leave the shop and head home, ending a busy and stressful day
