Hello, Steemians from all over the world. Greetings to you all and welcome to a new week. I hope you all are in fine fettle. I feel so excited to share something very important to you. Remain inspired as you read on.
I clenched my fist in anger getting ready to give a hard punch on somebody, when suddenly, someone else called on my attention.
Hey, stop it! It's not worth it trying to punch someone because of an offence, Dale Carnegie advised.
Excuse me? I asked, absolutely surprised at his statement. What do you mean by that statement? Speak now, I'm losing my patience! I urttered in fury with so much guts and disrespect.
He was unperturbed at my impudence. See, Mr Joseph, when we hate our enemies, we are giving them power over us: power over our sleep, our appetites, our blood pressure, our health, and our happiness, he stated.
What? You don't mean it. At this point, I started calming down.
Don't worry, Amy Morin has something to tell you.
You see, Mr Joseph, giving other people the power to control how you think, feel, and behave makes it impossible to be mentally strong, Amy said.
Oh my God! For real? Please, tell me more.
I got you covered already, Mr. Joseph. You'll have a lot to learn in one of my books - 13 THINGS MENTALLY STRONG PEOPLE DON'T DO.
Wow! Thanks a bunch, Dale and Amy. Anger vanished away. Dispute gone. Peace restored.
My friends, especially those who detest reading, you need to start learning to read. A reader is a leader. Challenge yourself to be an enthusiastic reader.
And as for my fellow readers, do well to read this and apply it.
In chapter 2 - THEY DON'T GIVE AWAY THEIR POWER - she said, If You feel deeply offended by any criticism or negative feedback you receive, regardless of the source, she continued, you're giving away your power.
Surprised, right? Me too.
Trust me, you can't wait to be inspired. Do well to digest it. You'll be surprised at how mentally strong you've become.
I will certainly give this a read my friend, thank you so much for your beautiful post which is an inspiration to me.
