funny, exciting and annoying moments

Imagine that feeling of winning a sport bet but where you had little or no hope, that is the level of excitement I experienced yesterday at my aunty's place. It was one of the moments where I could barely contain my excitement and I’m pretty sure I looked like a cartoon character with my jaw, no prizes were involved but the excitement was real.

What really happened?

It had been six long months since my cousin had given birth to her beautiful baby girl name "Unwana-Abasi" and I had been eagerly waiting for the moment I could finally visit the family to appreciate what God has done.

But unfortunately my school commitments and the fact that I lived quite far away from my cousin had delayed my visit. But last yesterday I finally made it and the excitement that built up over those months was beyond words.

I didn’t go alone, one of my closest friend accompanied me on the journey as we were both buzzing with happiness as we made our way to my cousin’s house, as we got closer my heart raced knowing that I was finally going to meet the little bundle of joy everyone had been taking with uncontrollable excitement.

The moment where I hold my cousin’s baby girl for the first time after hearing so much about her filled me with happiness.

Reaching there, my cousin welcomed us with warm open arms and big smiles, she was so happy to finally have us over and the mode where she us made me feel right at home. She had prepared a variety delicious meal for us as if she had been expecting our arrival for a very along.

The smell of freshly cooked food filled the house we ate, laughed and chatted about everything and anything but the most important of all was getting to meet the baby.

There she was a cute bouncing baby girl with the most innocent eyes and a smile that could melt anyone’s heart, smiles!!!.

She looked so peaceful yet full of life, It was a joy to see my cousin so happy surrounded by the love of her family and the adorable new born baby, we took some photos to capture the memories of this special day. But to be sincere, no picture could fully reflect thenjoy and excitement I felt being there in that moment.

The experience as I visit them was nothing short of excitement, Even though I had waited six months the moment I finally got to meet her made it all worth it for sure, I Know this for real that a beautiful new chapter had begun in our family with a precious baby girl who would in future bring us all even closer together than now.
