Preparing a suprise for my little nephew by @latifah09

Hello friends in steemkids. Hope everyone is doing well. Thank God for the life because that's the best thing one could ever have.

I want to share with you my little surprise to my nephew. She's six years soon turning to seven.
She stays with her grandmother and I haven't seen her since the lockdown. But now as we are about to get done with it, I want to surprise her with something unique and durable, which she will love and live with it for a long time.

As am learning crocheting, I decided to make her a skirt, went to YouTube and looked for a beautiful design and pattern I can use.

I actually, don't make calculations most of the times. As long as I knew her age, it became easy for me because I don't live with her.

Firstly, I had to first make the waist band, using a beautiful ribbing style. It's called half double crochet in the back roops.

Then I started on my pattern going downwards to the estimated length I made.
The pattern actually consumes a lot of yarns more than I expected. But, fortunately I finished it. Am sure she's going to like it. I am planning to make a top for it, white in colour with a small flower.
Crocheting has made me busy in this pandemic and I have really benefited a lot. It's a skill I want to have and develop it.
I have also used it to market my business hope I get clients especially mothers.
