Pop music is short for popular music and has an upbeat feeling if you listen to it. This genre also produces the most hits out of all the music. Some examples of singers who do pop music would be Micheal Jackson, Whitney Houston, and Adele.

Jazz music started in New Orleans about 100 years ago. When listening to it, it will have rhythm patterns and functional harmony. Some examples of Jazz Singers/ Musicians are Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and John Coltrane.

Disco music is a genre for dance music and when you listen to this genre you will hear electric rhythm guitars, electric pianos and more. Some disco singers are Madonna, Diana Ross, and Prince.
