Hello great people of this amazing community, greetings!
I am counting myself lucky to be able to take part in this contest on this amazing @steemkidss community.
Gif got from giphy
Everyone has got their worst childhood chores.in fact when we are children all we want to do is play and eat but the chores it's just a push thing always.
My self I always wanted to play and eat but I always had those chore that were given to me and I always hated to do them;
•Washing dishes
•Mopping the house
•Dusting.
The main chore that was allocated specifically to me was washing dishes. my 2big sisters always took up others but for the dishes, it was strictly on me.
I used to wash them morning and after lunch whenever I reached the part where I had to scrub the sauce pans, I would first rest for 1 hour and then get back to them because those things were not easy to wash.
Why are they my worst?
My worst of them all was washing dishes, followed by mopping the house and then Dusting.
I hated washing dishes because my clothes always got wet and for the sake of saucepans I had to even use sand or ash so that the saucepans become clean.
The sand always made my hands get wounds yet mum made it worse by even applying ash to the wounds😢which was so much pain.
Mopping the house always made me sad because it was big and my siblings always made it dirty with no time and then my mum would think I hadn't mopped so she would tell me to repeat again.
Wherever I would be dusting my eyes always brought out tears because I would get that burning thing. I later discovered that I was allergic to dust, smoke and too much sunshine which led me to put on spectacles.
Who normally send you to do them?
My mother always allocated us the chores so each one of us had our chores to do because she had to go to work so we could spend a day knowing what you are supposed to do...like cleaning dishes was compulsory for me, so I knew I had to do it.
Are they still your worst now?
Washing utensil is still the worst of them all. I would choose other chores over it.
For mopping and dusting are not my worst neither are they my best.due to healthy reasons I cannot do them
I am a very clean and organised person.i love it when my house is clean and tidy.
Due to bearing children, I got back pain which doesn't allow me to do the mopping and I am allergic to dust so I can't do that either but I always do whatever I can because I don't like sitting and letting my help do everything.
Will i encourage your kids to hate those chores?
No parent would encourage a child to hate any kind of chores and I would NOT encourage my kids to hate the chores I hated.
I have 2kids and I always encourage them to take up every chore that they can handle according to their age group.
Though I have a house help I always encourage them to help wherever they can.
My kids are aged 5 and 8years but they know how to do almost all the chores apart from cooking and washing clothes.
I always encourage them to wash their panties and socks, so that they can learn how to wash them as they grow.
In conclusion
Chores are good for us. they help us grow, stay clean, exercise and make us proud of ourselves.
Though they leave us tired they are good for our body, mind and soul.
Doing chores is part of life though most of us have house helpers, we should take up some chores once in a while.
Its always good to train up our children and encourage them to do chores by offering them gifts to however has done their chores well through the week,this will help them grow up to love doing chores.
I would like to invite @gladys nanyanga,@amastella and @precious5 to tske part in this contest.
Till then
@mariez
Hello @casarse, thank you very much for participating in the contest. We hope to always have you with us to continue learning about your anecdotes. It is good that you guide your children to do their homework according to their age.
