Introduction

Good day, my fellow steemian. I hope you all are doing great. I am very happy to participate in this contest (my actions to make our environment cleaner, greener, and healthier 🌲🌲🌲🌴🌴🌴) organized by @ngoenyi

Planting trees in our environment makes it look beautiful and attractive and also encourages a healthy lifestyle.

Planting trees does not only make our environment greener or healthier but also has a lot of natural, economic, and health benefits, which include:

• Producing organic matter, which helps in improving and enriching the soil and also helps to maintain its fertility.

• It provides shade to the environment and also to some crops that require a bit of shade, making our environment more greener and creative.

• Plantains are also important sources of food and very nutritional staple foods in a local community.

• It also helps in the economy by providing income to some families and providing employment opportunities , and these contribute greatly to the growth of our economy and development of the local or rural communities.

Plantains also have many health benefits, including;

• Provision of nutritions like carbonhydrate, fibre, vitamins, potassium, etc., which helps in supporting our immune system, improving our digestive health, and also regulating our health bowel

• Plantains are also an important food for pregnant women and to prevent neutral tube defects in the development of foetus.

✅ What did you do?

I planted a plantain tree, because I know the value and benefits of it

So today I want to expand our farm, so after thinking about what to plant,

I decided to plant a new plantain because the ones that I planted had already grown big, and lucky for me, I saw a small plantain that was growing in a place that was not good and the soil did not have enough mannur, so I decided to replant it, therefore planting it in a place where it will comfortably grow.

✅ How did you do it?

	Myequipment, digging, planting my plantain tree and then the final look

I started with bringing out my planting equipment after uprooting the plant from the wrong place.

I dig a new hole, which is a bit dipped. After digging the hole, I watered the soil to make it a bit wet, put my little tree inside the hole, and covered it back with the soil.

✅ Where did you do it?

I plant my plantain tree in our farm, at the back of our house. The place was loamy soil, and it has a lot of manure and also has a lot of soil nutrients that will help it to grow faster and bear much fruit.

✅ What motivated you?

I love planting trees, and also, planting trees has a lot of benefits, both nutritional, health, and economic, and it will also make our environment more greener.

I always plant trees, and they, in return, always give me what I want by bearing much fruit because the land is fully equipped with soil nutrients and manure.
