If we talk about being lazy to study, many claim that their children are lazy to study, even toddlers. "Because my child is very difficult, ma'am, he wants to be read books". And when he entered Elementary School age, that was the most common complaint. He didn't want to learn to write, he didn't want to learn to read, he didn't want to learn to count. So, what will my child be?
Once he enters puberty, transitional age, adolescence, starting to become a big child, right? If told to sit down to study, his child will run away. Well, here parents are faced with a big issue which is then called "My child doesn't want to study".
Actually, friends, what we need to define again is what is studying?
Is learning by sitting, reading textbooks, or learning can be from many things in our environment.
Redefined again, maybe we ourselves as parents create a wrong perception about learning. Learning is hard, learning is not fun, learning is annoying. Who wants to do activities that are not fun, right? So that happens. So that perception then haunts children.
Then the second is being afraid, because of what? We have targets for children, academic targets. "So you have to study, otherwise your grades will be bad, if your grades are bad, you can't move up a class".
So before the end, children are already haunted by the threat of failure. It's not certain. So my goodness, this task is very heavy, it burdens my life. Then the third is that children's pleasure is playing. Playing, having fun, being very healthy and happy children. And this is a big thing that children should not do. So these 3 things make children more resistant to learning. Then the fourth, often we ourselves are not consistent. "Study, okay kid?". But his father, mother are gone, not with him. So that habit is formed because there is no consistency from his parents.
So, why do children need to learn, all parents are the same. We are parents, we have very noble ideals so that our children will become educated and noble adults when they are adults. Because education opens up the horaisen of children. So that is prepared. And education, there is formal and informal education. Formal education certainly gives us legitimacy. So actually the definition of learning is helping children to practice continuously, so that they become knowledgeable. Well, for knowledge, textbooks are only one source of knowledge, right? So, it's not focused on that.
So the children's love for learning to find out for themselves is what is instilled. So, it's not a big, scary obligation for these children.
So what I mean is, the parents also have to be creative and involved, so that learning becomes fun. Hopefully useful, see you again.
Greetings always compact.
