Greetings esteemed steemians, I'm happy to participate in this contest organised by @ngoenyi. Of the truth we owe it to ourselves to have a clean environment and we need to take action now without hesitation.

What did you do?

This morning I washed and cleaned our Bathroom.

I haven't been around for some time. I returned last night. Tiredness from my long journey couldn't let me notice how dirty the bathroom was. So this early morning when I strolled into the bathroom expecting to have a refreshing bath to start my day but I was greeted by a messy and dirty bathroom.

The tiles on the wall now wore a dull brownish cloak, as if this irritating sight wasn't enough, I saw a book sucking worm creeping on the side wall. Ewwee

The Floor? It's so slippery that you'll think someone mistakenly spilled okra water on the floor, any slightest mismatch I might find myself Tumbling over like Jack and Jill.

I decided to do the needful. Which is Thoroughly Cleaning the Bathroom.

How did you do it?

I dashed out of the bathroom and headed straight to my house to get my cleaning stuff such as A mop bucket, detergent, mop sticky, and more importantly I carried a disinfectant along.

I filled the bucket with water then I added detergent and disinfectant to the water but before that I had already poured some detergent and disinfectant on the floor especially on the mucky area. The reason for this is to make the dirt that has stuck on that part of the floor soft so that I can easily wash it off with my mop stick.

After that I proceeded to scrub the wall tile using the water in the mop bucket, after first I couldn't because I noticed that I didn't come with a sponge or brush but luckily I saw a plastic plate and sponge in it. I used the plate to bail out the water dipped in the sponge and started scrubbing the wall.

After that I mopped the floor with the mopstick, I scrubbed it thoroughly to make sure that I removed whatever it was that's making it slippery.

When I was done I held the shower tap, put it on and sprayed water on every part of the bathroom that I had just washed.

I was so glad when I saw the once dirty bathroom now sparkling again.

Where did you do it?

The place I did the cleaning is in our general bathroom that my family and I share with four other Tenants. Our bathroom is not usually this dirty because we have a cleaning roaster for it. But what happened was that some neighbors missed their turn probably because of their busy schedules and they have promised that it won't happen again.

What motivated you?

The main motivating factor was my priority towards health and hygiene. Honestly I don't joke with these, the thought of seeing leech lurking around the bathroom I used sent shivers down my spine. I have a very strong phobia for creepy and slimy creatures. Because 90% of them if not 100% are dangerous to human health and survival

A dirty bathroom is a breeding ground for all sorts of harmful bacteria, viruses, and parasites that can have a mild to severe adverse effect on our health once they find their way into our body. We can start having some skin issues as a result of poor hygiene.

So immediately I noticed that our bathroom has be neglected for weeks, I had to do the needful which is washing and keeping it clean because being clean at all times is a necessity, it reduces the rate at which we treat infections and illnesses.

Thanks.
