Good afternoon everyone, I'm happy to participate in this week's drawing challenge. This week we are to draw Catfish, so I wouldn't want to be left behind because catfish is one of my favorites.
For the drawing I made use of an A4 paper and a pencil.
• Step 1
I started off with a lite shading
• Step 2
Then I made the lines bold and then I attached the fins to the body of the catfish
• Step 3
I used by pencil to colour the fish. Catfish are usually dark in colour.
• Step 4
Cleaned up any rough edge
Describe A Catfish
A catfish is a type of fish that has a long, slim body and a flattened head. It has whiskers on its face and barbels around its mouth, which it uses to detect food in murky waters. It also has a protective coating of slime on its skin.
Where do they live?
Catfish can be found in freshwater rivers, lakes, and ponds all over the world.
Do you know the different types of catfish?
Yes, there are many different types of catfish, including channel catfish, blue catfish, flathead catfish, bullhead catfish, and many more.
• Channel catfish are a species of catfish found in North America. They are typically brown or gray in color and have a long, slender body with a flat head. They have four pairs of barbels around their mouth, which they use to detect food in murky waters. They are omnivorous and feed on a variety of aquatic insects, crustaceans, and small fish.
• Bluehead catfish are a species of catfish found in South America. They are typically blue or gray in color and have a long, slender body with a flat head. They have four pairs of barbels around their mouth, which they use to detect food in murky waters. They are omnivorous and feed on a variety of aquatic insects, crustaceans, and small fish.
• Flathead catfish are a species of catfish found in North America. They are typically brown or gray in color and have a long, slender body with a flat head. They have four pairs of barbels around their mouth, which they use to detect food in murky waters. They are omnivorous and feed on a variety of aquatic insects, crustaceans, and small fish.
• Bullhead catfish are a species of catfish found in North America. They are typically brown or gray in color and have a long, slender body with a flat head. They have four pairs of barbels around their mouth, which they use to detect food in murky waters. They are omnivorous and feed on a variety of aquatic insects, crustaceans, and small fish.
Have you seen one before? If yes, where?
Yes, I have. They are sold in the market. I even bought one the other day and used it to make pepper soup for the family
Are they important to man, what significant role do they play in humans life? Talk about their nutritional values and usefulness
Catfish are an important source of food for humans. They are high in protein and low in fat, making them a healthy and nutritious food source. Catfish are also important for their role in the ecosystem, as they help to keep the water clean by eating algae and other debris. They also provide a food source for other animals, such as birds and larger fish.
If they are dangerous to man tell us their dangerous part
They are not dangerous to man.
Some part of the country eat it, so tell us have you eaten it before, what's your favourite recipe is it dry , fresh or barbecued?
I love catfish in all form be it dried, fresh or barbecued. The taste is usually heavenly. And yes I have eaten it before.
