In my own understanding,I believe that child bearing is what almost everyone prays and hunger for .. but, before I proceed, let's look at definition of few terms:
WHAT IS CHOICE?: choice, according to English dictionary, is an option,a decision,an opportunity to choose or select something..
WHAT IS LOT?: Lot,is seen in many ways, but it also includes the making of a decision by random selection, especially by a method involving the Choice of one from a number of pieces of folded paper, one which has a concealed mark.it can also be seen as a person's luck, situation or destiny in life.. you don't have to decide what to see...

WHO IS A CHILD?: A child is a daughter or a son.an offspring or even a descendant..
Then finally, WHAT IS CHILD BEARING?: Child bearing is the process of being pregnant, reproduction and putting to bed to a younger one...

IS CHILD BEARING A CHOICE,LOT OR BOTH??
I will stand to say it's by both..it is a choice when the couple decide and agree not to bear kids or decide the number of kids they want at the moment.... maybe due to economic situation,or busy working schedule which won't Grant them the time and attention their kids deserve and require....A model can as well,agree with her spouse to take sometime before bearing kids or not bearing at all..
Then,it is a lot too, because most couple have tried their possible best to bear even a kid, but it ain't working out.. children are gifts from God and he decides when to give and who to give at a particular time..Many people can't wait to have their own babies crying and running around their homes, but fate and destiny didn't allow them to, for the moment. most women get pregnant and loose the baby on delivery or miscarriage..so,we can't possibly generalize child bearing a choice or lot..many made the choice of bearing four or more kids, but end up with one or none.

ADVICE TO YOUNG OR INTENDING COUPLE:
My candid and sincere advice to young and intending couple, including myself is that, before we venture into marriage,we should know that, marriage is a package and not everyone conceives on first to three years of marriage... just love each other, pray to God for his blessings and be each other's companion.i believe God will bring most of our intentions to reality.
Note: a child is a gift from God,he gives kids to people depending on the time he wish to ...
I think I have throwed light on my claim as I said child bearing can be by choice or lot..
