Like every year this year also our locality organised a small Janamashtami celebration for us and it was celebrated one day before the Janmashtami festival which is 25th August.
In this festival first we had the palna around in which everyone puts the lord Krishna's idol in the swing and everyone dances swinging him around. Beautiful decorations were done with lots of fresh flowers and balloons.
beautifully decorated Kanhaji
On this special occasion we Indians celebrate the birth of lord Shri Krishna and was the son of Shri Devki and Shri Vashudev but was later sent to Nand Gaao to protect him from his own uncle in law Kansh.
Generally we people clean and decorate our houses and worship lord Krishna at 12: Am on the day of he birthday. New clothes and mukuts are brought for bal Gopal and different types of prasads are prepared for him.
kids in the form of Kanha ji and Radha Rani
On this particular day children are dressed like Bal Gopal and Radha Rani even in our colony many small children were dressed below are some pictures of the same.
Other than that in a nearby temple huge celebration took place where we enjoyed the Gathering and Nritya of Radha Rani and Lord Krishna. Generally most of the bhakts keep fasting on this occasion.
Dance program in the temple
Around 8:30 pm we went to the temple and there we enjoyed the programs which was based on the birth of Lord Krishna. Coming back from the temple we started the decorations and then we celebrated the birthday of our very own Gopal ji.
So this is how we all celebrated our Krishna Janamashtami hope my Indian friends would have also enjoyed the festival of Janamashtami. We meet you soon in my next diary.
That's all for today , thank you and have a great day ahead
