What is gift giving?
Gift giving is a common gesture of offering a present to someone else, its a show of kindness and appreciation, you gift to family and friends to appreciate their support and the same can be done to you also.
A gift is a show of love, it's how we show love to each other, this can be to our relatives or our neighbors, and this is also to appreciate special moments with them.
Should it just be for a season in a year? Explain
Nope, it shouldn't just be for a season in a year, a gift is a show of appreciation, there are several seasons and several things to be thankful for, so a gift to someone shouldn't just be a season in a year, its something that can be done on several events.
A gift can be offered when someone is celebrating their Birthday or housewarming or any occasion that deserves special moments to them, so a gift can be given to appreciate them and this shouldn't just be once in a year only.
Name other opportunities that one can exchange gifts
I have already explained before that, a gift can be given at several events like Housewarming and this is when someone just moved into a new house or have a renovation of their apartment.
A gift can also be given to someone who just delivered a baby or who is pregnant, you can also present them a gift for their baby shower, this is some events that required exchanging of gifts other than In a season only.
What are proper items that can be exchanged as gifts
There are a lot of items that can be exchanged as gifts, but the main importance of gifts is that they should have a meaning, a gift should be something valuable and align with the occasion, for example, during a baby shower, you can present the mother with clothing material or cakes or small chops but not expensive items like Shoes and Bags, the gift should have meaning to that occasion.
Anyone can gift presents to someone, but it is important that the present should be natural, it doesn't matter about the price but the mindset of giving should be to make the other person happy.
What should be the right motive for gift giving
The only motive for gifting is to be doing it as a kind gesture and not expect anything special in return, gifting is a show of appreciation, and that should be the only motive attached to that gift.
A gift is to be given to make someone happy, it doesn't matter if they gift you something in return or not, but you have shown your kindness to them and that's all that matters when gifting without expecting special treatment in return.
Who is qualified to give gifts?
Just like I have always said, a gift is not about the money but about the nature of it, anyone is qualified to give a gift, its simply a gesture, as an elder sister, I have always gotten gifts to my younger ones no matter how small it is, it is not necessarily I wait till I'm richer as it is the little things that count, so in this case, it is safe to say anyone is qualified to give gifts.
How should the giver and the receiver feel about the act of giving
Before giving a gift, you should always try to read the mood and you should give a gift that correlates with the current event, and aside from that, the giver and the receiver should feel good about this exchange of gesture.
A gift is a show of appreciation, you gift things to people you love and also as an appreciation to them and when they do the same to you too, you should also feel happy about it, no matter how little it is, try to cherish it and hold on to the Good side of it.
