Waking up to a beautiful day with anticipation of training my clients as arranged, it was with much zeal that I opened my eyes. For one thing, my kids have just concluded their exams for the second school term and they showed interest in going out to workout with me. They had already arranged for their peers to join them. Excitement filled the air.
I will like to share my diary today as I was able to
Train my clients
Went to the market to buy goat head and other foodstuffs
Prepared the goat head as we usually do it here in Nigeria especially people from Igbo tribe.
You won't want to miss this gistππππ!
Morning Hours
Waking up as usual at a very early hour to attend to the notifications on the blog both from my personal blog and that of my community, steem kids and parents. After that, I completed and posted my engagement challenge entry in the travelling steem community wherein I have planned to travel with @patjewell. You may want to check my blog to see what and what I have planned to do during the journey.
Next was to get ready for the workout as I already told a bike man to come carry us to the venue by 6am. We were still getting ready when the bike man came and we had to rush and join him to the venue.
At the venue, other clients came around and I gave them different programs in batches. I will explain these programs when I am making my StayFit update on Sunday. Please don't miss it. Below is some of the pictures I took during the program and after

and yet another program |
We finished our programs by past 8am and we got home by past 9. The kids were very hungry and tired. They really took part in the programs along with others. They wanted to eat Noddles but we couldn't get it around because they won't accept a transfer as a means of payment. The kids later boiled yam and ate as I and my husband promised them that we will soon go to the market and buy the noodles there.
I didn't really want to eat that morning but I decided to go pluck my ripened pawpaw from the tree and eat. My husband joined me

We couldn't finish it because it is a big one. This particular pawpaw is the envy of passersby. They usually request to be given when they see ripened ones on the tree. They love it a lot and we love it too.
I rested for a while and quickly washed my workout clothes, spread them and took my bathe to get ready for the market.
Afternoon hours
I was ready by noon and I left the house with my husband who wants to refill our 12.5kg gas cylinder. It finished yesterday. Thank goodness that there was a little gas remaining in our camp has cylinder which we used between that yesterday and when we were able to refill this one.
We went out with that cylinder, dropped it by the main road in a shop of one of our friends and went to the market together. We are expecting a visitor. My brother in-law with his newly wedded wife. They were to come today and as such, we need to restock the house of foodstuffs and other things.
First, we needed to buy goat head for the dinner. At the market, we could find the quantity we needed. We only saw half of the head that had been divided for someone and we bought it and bought the leg in addition.
We also bought rice, beans, yam, and other things that we needed. Then we went to another location and bought the noodles in a carton. There I discovered that it is cheaper to even buy in carton. They are selling 200 naira (0.44 steem) per one packet of the noodle whereas after buying it in carton at 5400 naira (12 steem), I divided and the price per one packet is 135 naira (0.3 steem). You can imagine the gap of 65 naira (0.144 steem).
It is good to take advantage of bulk purchases when cash is at hand. Unless there is a business that can give turnover quickly which you will like to use the cash for. But it is always good to buy in bulk and take advantage of some discounts.
In addition to all these things, I quickly remembered that I was advised to buy tomatoes for planting. Yes, the man that is showing us how to cultivate yam in bags to maximize the small space we have in front of our house told me to add tomatoes. So, I needed to buy it and nurse it before the yam is planted in 2 weeks time.
I bought 500 naira (1.11 steem) tomatos. I went for big ones as advised.

When I came back from the market, I removed the seeds from the flesh, then, took a broken bowel outside, filled it with sand, wet it and spread the tomato seeds there. Then covered with sand and set it aside.
I kept the flesh for use in decorating the goat head that I was about to prepare. Meanwhile, the kids were so excited to see the noodles in carton. They do buy with their steemit earnings and so they understand the price and that it is now cheaper for them.
They quickly prepared and ate theirs. I went in to take a little nap and waited for my husband to come back with the cylinder since I left him to do so after we were done with the purchases.
He cam back in the evening.
Evening hours
As soon as he was back, he decided to eat the boiled yam that the kids remained in the morning. But he prepared his source by himself. He requested to have pumpkin leaves from the garden which I went out and got for him. Using the pumpkin, the fresh tomatoes, onions and egg, he prepared a delicious source for the yarm. I couldn't resist it though. I just took 2 slices of the yam and ate along with him.
Since it was 7pm already, I decided to prepare the goat head. Meanwhile, my brother in-law called that they wanted to board a vehicle to our state of residence. It was late already. It means that they might get here by 11pm. My husband discouraged that night trip and told them to come in the morning. I guess they went back home. They might probably be coming in the morning.
It is now time to prepare the goat head proper.
First, I washed and seasoned the meat.
The goat brain is tied in a nylon and I had to put it that way inside the pot along with other parts to cook.
Then, I made the source for the meat using ogiri, ehiru or traditional nutmeg, pepper, palm oil, potash, salt, and others.

Nkwobi is a traditional meal that is native of the eastern part of my country. It is made and prepared with goat head, traditional nutmeg, potash, palm oil, onions, and others. It is usually irresistible as you can see in the picture below

We enjoyed this meal with a bottle of soft drink and everyone retired. But I will have to finish up my diary game post before sleeping πππ. Hope you enjoyed my diary and you have learnt something new? Lete know in the comment section if there any question with regards to this diarygame. Thank you all for reading through.
Thank you @m-fdo for hosting this contest. I will like @okere-blessing @impersonal @saintkelvin17 @ruthjoe to take part. here
This is my introductory post here
It is great to meet a healthy family in the early morning at a wonderful venue with clients and peers. In the growth period of children proper work out and diet will bring them good adulthood with physical fitness.
It is not only your neighbour but also I'm fond of papiya. Unfortunately I can't grow it in the garden. Anyways I'll try again.
You prepared a yammi dish of goat head which can be understood from the picture. There is a famous cafe in Kolkata who is making Goat Brain Chop for last fifty years. The brain appears as thick white substance inside the coating of fried chop.
I'm honoured for the invition to participate in diary game contest.
Thank you for sharing your day long activities diary with us.
Happy Easter!!
