It is yet another interesting moment sharing in My Picture My Memories Contest Wk #03 organised by @ngoenyi in the beloved Steem Kids & Parents Community.

It is true that history can never make itself rather people makes history and create fun moments to cherished in years to come. Therefore, it will be wise to preserve pictures taken in those moment in a safe place - album with Steem.

Attending Traditional Marriage of @bela90

It was a joyous moment of celebration that went down memory lane, particularly as it involve one of our own in the Steemit family. It is no other person than @bela90, who quit spinsterhood.

Describe the event that the pictures represent, include why the picture is so special to you.

The picture above shows me wearing the Ankara uniform for the traditional marriage standing close to a tender plantain tree. The plantain tree is often use in Ibibio land in traditional marriages as a symbol depicting new life and fertility and as well serve as a sign that an occasion is going on withing that location. Looking at the background shows the event going on as well as others with the uniform enjoying the moment.

This picture is important to me because it help me to remember the fun memories of sharing in the successful planning and seeing the orderliness of the event as it unfold. Beside that, acting in the capacity of the assistance chairman of the event was an honour to cherished. Though we meet and parted to meet again, this picture will remind me in the future of the times we use to be neighbour and colleagues in the office building as well as moments we have share together.

I am the primary focus in the picture though there are others at the background. The device was my android phone and the photographer happened to be @umoh88 that we went together.

What can you say about this contest, any suggestions for improvement? (Optional)

The contest is a niche in the right direction at this point in time were humidity destroys pictures as well as low quality photo chemical is used in picture printing which does not prolong the life of the picture. Hence, having a soft copy picture album preserve in the Steemit platform is worthy of encouragement, thereby wishing it to continue.

Having come thus fat, I will like to invite @bela90 to take part and also preserve those her lovely picture that great fun memories of her traditional marriage, @patudoh and @manuelhooks to also take part in the contest.
