Weekly Drawing Contest Begins || Week #26 : Draw A Shrimp 🦐

Greetings

Good day to to all dear steemians, it is a pleasure having you guys here, and also joining in the contest organise by @eliany in the Steem Kids & Parents community. The drawing contest is also a way of helping us to sharpen our creative drawing skill as well as engaging with one another in meaningful comments. Whether you win or not, it is fun engaging in the community.
Here I begin.

Materials Use

• A4 paper.
• 2B pencil.
• Eraser.
• Ruler.
• Sharpener.
• Schneider Marker.

Step 1:
Firstly with the 2B pencil, I drew the shrimp head nicely and then apply pencil light shade on the head.

Step 2:
Then I drew part of the body leading to the tail shape.

Step 3:
Then I complete drawing the body and tail shape of the shrimp.

Step 4:
Then I add the shrimp legs and apply pencil shading on the body and the legs nicely to fully show the shrimp.

Describe A Shrimp

Shrimps are botanical organisms classified under crustaceans. They live in the water and have shell over the body. Shrimps possess elongated bodies and long legs. There swimming pattern is more of locomotion There are different types of shrimp. As a marine animals each shrimp has five pairs of pleopods and a pair of uropods used for swimming. They have long and whiplike antennae.

Where do the Shrimp live?

Shrimps are found in oceans, freshwater, lakes and even streams. All kind of shrimp lives in the water. Water is their major part of livelihood.

What can we learn from the life Style of a shrimp, what do the shrimp eat?

Since shrimp are survivals animals, I learn self survival skills for everyday life. They get out from their home and swim in search for food for survival. So also I need to go out on a daily basis to engage in meaningful activities that the outcome will sustain me.
Shrimp's diet includes algae and other plant particles. It also consumes tiny animals, fish and plankton, phyoplantong, parasite and so on.

Have you seen one before, the shrimp? If yes, where?

Yes, I have seen it a numbers if times. It is often being sold at the riverine area in Oron, Ishiet and Ikot Abasi. I have also seen it at the Ibom Plaza sold by fish market women.

Which season we can see the shrimp easily?

Shrimps are mostly found in the rainy season, but in other season it availability is reduce.

Are shrimp important to man, what significant role do shrimp play in humans life? Talk about their nutritional value.

Yes shrimp are very important to human life both in financial value and nutritional value. Financially because people buy it in large quantities and retail it. Nutritionally, shrimps are very rich in vitamins B12, minerals, proteins, omega-3 fatty acids, iodine, and also act as an antioxidant that helps in reducing the risk of chronic diseases affected by human alongside other benefits.

If the shrimp are dangerous to man tell us their dangerous part.

Whatever have advantage, will likely also have disadvantage. So shrimps have it dangerous side to human. Since shrimps contains high cholesterol content, consuming it in much quantities is dangerous. When there is an increase in the cholesterol content in the human blood, the human is prone to heart diseases and attack.

Some part of the country eat it, so tell us have you eaten the shrimp before, what's your favourite recipe?

Yes, I eat shrimp many time. In Nigeria it is one delicacy that you cannot take away. My favourite recipe is with plantain sauce.
