Weekly Drawing Contest || Week #25 Begins: Draw A Crab

Intro

Dear fellow steemians, I greet you all in the Steem Kids & Parents community. Hope you are all doing well, if so, it is a thing to give thanks to God.

It is my pleasure to also join you in this skill developing contest organise by @eliany in the Steem Kids & Parent community entitled "Draw A Crab", this contest will test my drawing ability, hence, I salute @eliany for this.
So let me get to work.

Necessary Materials Use:

• A4 paper.
• 2B pencil.
• Eraser.
• Sharpener.
• Ruler.
• Schneider Marker.

Step 1

First I drew an eclipse like round shape and then turn it into a semi love shape. Thereafter, I had some small curve line and draw the crab shell part.

Step 2,

Then I drew the two big legs in front of the crab with a pencil. The legs facing upward.

Step 3

Then I drew the crabs small legs by the sides which are four in number in each sides.

Step 4

Then I sketch out the crab back and add some colour to depict its brown like shell.

Describe A crab

Crabs is an Arthropoda animal which have hard shell and two sharp leg, live in water and underwater in small holes along the river banks. Crabs are crustacean and of different species. Crabs have 8-10 legs and two of the front legs are distinct and sharp which they use to attack their predators. This can be poisonous.

Where do they live

These crabs likes to hide in brick stones and small holes along the river bank. Crabs can be seen wherever there is a little body water usually swampy. Crabs can also be found living in burrows.

What can we learn from the life Style of a crab, what do they eat?

The crab like every other creatures is a self surviving animals that searches for food day and night. They eat different type of food, but mostly phytoplankton and zooplankton, fungi and the normal and iodine water crab eat the waste food, some other elements from the mud like insect that come in contact.

Have you seen one before? If yes, where?

Yes, I have seen it a numbers of time. When I went to our corporative farm at Itai Idoro in Ibiono local government area, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.

Which season can crab be seen easily?

Usually it depends on the climatic condition of each locality, but crabs are usually seen at the end of the monsoon or raining season, when the monsoon heavy water subsided, at this point, the crabs will be seen searching for food. During this period, they lay their eggs in the river water, after hatching the eggs, they usually comes back to the estuary to graze for food.

Are they important to man, what significant role do they play in humans life? Talk about their nutritional value.

Yes the crab is important to human life. Firstly their nutritional value is very important. They are rich in Omega-3 and Omega-6 which helps to lower blood cholesterol level of the human body. They help to reduce the level of vascular diseases. Because crab is currently very popular as a meal, many market women go for it as it help to increase their pocket value. Many are also cultivating crab in commercial quantities and earning money.

If they are dangerous to man tell us their dangerous part

Some poisonous crabs are available mostly the ones found on land, they breed in the sea bed. As a way of protecting themselves, they use their two long strong claw in the leg to attack anyone close to them, this usually is poisonous to human health. However, we learn self defence from them.

Some part of the country eat it, so tell us have you eaten it before, what's your favourite recipe?

Yes, I have eaten it severally. I don't have a favorite recipe, however it is prepare, it goes for me
