Communication can simply be referred to as the process of passing or transmitting information from one person to another. Communication often involves two or more persons, and it can be called communication only when the both parties involved have intensively understood each other.

Note: Without understanding of the information that is passed, communication has not taken place. i.e there is no communication without understanding.

Therefore communication is said to be effective when it is clear, correct, concise, concrete, complete and is well understood with clarity. Both sender and receiver needs to feel satisfied for the communication to be termed effective.

Effective communication as the ability to strengthen family bonding.

Effective communication is the foundation and first thing that fosters good family bonding cause it enhances connection among family members, empathy and make the family members understand their selves better.

Effective communication helps family to settle their dispute or misunderstanding in a more better way, there is no family that is not faced with one challenges or the other but the best way that every dispute or misunderstanding in a family can be settled is through honest and effective communication which will make the family bond grow more stronger.

Any family or relationship that lacks open, honest and effective communication usually do not enjoy strong bond, it takes only effective communication which leads to understanding for family bonds to be strengthened.

Effective communication also strengthens family bond because it creates room for open communication within the family members. Family members are able to express their selves freely on things that bothers them such as fears, aspirations and joys in life without fear of being mocked or judged.

Effective communication also strengthens family bond because it provides an avenue for active listening, members of the family pays undivided attention to one another while speaking. When a family practice the act of active listening among them, it gives each member of the family a sense of belonging, showing them that their feelings really matters and are valued too. All this and many more ways are how effective communication has strengthened family bonds.

I personally came from a family where effective communication is practiced, and I have seen how it has greatly helped in making my family bonds to be more stronger. It is not like we do not have issues or misunderstanding in the family, but because effective communication is practiced, finding lasting solutions to such issues and misunderstanding becomes more easier making my family bond get more stronger each day.

Lastly, effective communication is the ability to strengthen family bonding, it requires time, i.e each family member needs to put his/her effort, to be committed and persevere because family bonding is not a one day thing. Every step taking to enhance effective communication in a family is a step closer to maintaining a stronger and a harmonious family life and experience. Family bonds needs to be built!!
