DIARY GAME: ATTENDING MY DAUGHTER'S INTER HOUSE SPORT ON SATURDAY 19TH FEBRUARY,2022.

Greetings everyone, how is the week going? It's been a busy one for me and in my post today I will be sharing with you all how I spent my day on Saturday 19th of February 2022.

It was a beautiful day, as its was my baby's inter house sport day, not like she's participating in any sport because she's till little but its seems interesting to go and have some beautiful time with the kids and feel like a kid once more. We woke up early trying to meet up with the church evangelism but sadly we didn't, so I went to check out the field whether they are ready to begin the inter sport because the school my daughter attends is owned by the church. When we got to the venue we were told it will take about two more hours before the sport kicks off officially, so my husband and I went back home to have our breakfast.

I made noodles and by the time we were done eating the noodles, I was running late for the event, well so I taught, the event was supposed to start by 10:00am and my daughter and I got to the venue 10:02am and they have not started yet but this time we could see a lot of pupils already at the field. My daughter is in yellow house so we went to sit with the yellow house for a while. The event started at about 11:00am,i was really not happy they didn't keep up to time and there was no apology what so ever, this already made me lost interest in a way but I still sat down and watch the event, it was really beautiful to see how happy the pupils are and very energetic.

The event started with the MC welcoming everyone and also the head teacher giving his opening remarks, one of the parents was asked to give opening prayer and the school head girl lead us in National anthem and the school anthem and the event official started, it stated with the four houses (red, blue, yellow, green) entertainment us with their matching skills on the field, it was really beautiful sight to behold, as the kids knows their onions well. The red house gave a really beautiful presentation however they were not time conscious and everybody taught they will win the match parade but because of their time management, they became fourth, I really learnt something from this, doing the right thing at the wrong time may cost you a lot. In life we should always ensure to be time conscious in whatever we are doing.

The race started proper and it was going really well but yellow house seems to really not ready for this inter house sport because they keep getting disqualified and it was really sad. I was amazing to see my daughter laughing during the event, she seems to be entertaining herself. It was around 1:00pm already and it looks like they won't be stopping any time soon and I still plan to visit my brother. So I left the venue but before I left the green house was doing amazing and I suspected they will win and when I asked later who won, I was told the green house did and I was really happy for them, they deserve it, I hope by next year my daughter will be able to participate in one or two sport.

We left and headed to my brothers house because the next day was his wife's 40th birthday, so I'm going to see if I can help with any preparation. When I go there I met the wife designing her birthday cake, they were all happy to see us. My daughter and her cousin started playing all around the house as there wasn't much to do the cooking was contracted out. We were all just gisting and having a nice time.

We were offered some cake and yam and egg, I ate them all because I was really hungry and I didn't want to go home just yet because my husband was having an online class and I didn't want to go and distract him, so we stayed with my brother till around 6pm before going home. My husband was still having his meeting when we got home but Marvelous is already a sleep now as she didn't sleep all day, her day has been filled with activities. I went to the kitchen to make dinner, when my husband was done, we ate together and I retired to bed almost immediately.

That was how my day went on Saturday, I loved the fact that I got to watch the inter house sport, it remind me of when I was a little girl as well and I'd love for my children to participate in a lot of sport activities and I can't wait for them to grow up to that age. One of the major lesson the day taught me was time management. I will definitely work on my time management moving forward. Thank you all for your time and keep steeming friends!!!
