Contest: What is census? Is census possible in steemit?

INTRODUCTION

Hello amazing kids and parents how are you all doing today I hope all is well and you all are having a nice and wonderful day, today I will be taking part in a contest organised by @udyliciouz with the theme "What is census"

In my entry I will be sharing with you all the meaning of census, my experience in census, the importance of census, it's problems/demerits, my opinion is census can be conducted on STEEMIT and lastly my suggestions towards it

HOW WOULD YOU DEFINE CENSUS.

In my own understanding census can be defined as the act of counting and knowing the population of a particular country and in other words it is said to be a governmental activities which involves an official survey of the population of a country.

HAVE YOU EVER BEEN COUNTED? WHEN? EXPLAIN YOUR EXPERIENCE IF ANY.

The last population census was being carried out in Nigeria in the year 2006 where Nigeria was noted to be the most populated country in Africa 🌍 with total population of 140 million.

So back then in the year 2006 I was still very young so I do not even remember or have a clue of how it went, but according to how I've heard the census was being carried out in a house to house manner were the numbers of people in a house was taken note and put into record.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ARE THE IMPORTANCE OF CARRYING OUT CENSUS? STATE AT LIST 5.

Census as an act has so many great importance which I'm going to list below and there are;

• It helps in knowing the population of a particular country
• Census records is very much essential for effective planning
• Census records helps the government in resource allocation
• Census data helps in developing marketing strategies and maintaining a good distribution channel
• It helps Identify services and facilities needed in rural communities

IS THERE ANY PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH CENSUS? BRIEFLY EXPLAIN IF ANY.

Yes there are numerous problems associated with the smooth execution of census, and there are the financial cost, privacy and intrusiveness, lack of co-operation and difficulties in being able to access secure apartment or restricted areas.

DO YOU THINK CENSUS CAN BE CARRIED OUT IN STEEMIT?

Yes absolutely I really think that census can be carried out here on steemit but it would be possible if only the team agree to it and decide to go through it.

IF IT POSSIBLE TO CARRY OUT CENSUS IN STEEMIT, HOW WOULD YOU DO IT?

Now this is the most interesting part how I would prefer census to be carried out here on steemit is very simple first of all the steemit team will alert all communities inform all active steemians about the yet to come activities.

Then after a week the steemit team will make a census post asking all the active steemians to drop not two but one comment each and from there we will all know the number of steemians here on steemit.

At the same time those steemians who are not always active will also be known by the team as well.

DO YOU SUGGEST CENSUS BE CARRIED OUT IN STEEMIT PLATFORM?

Sincerely speaking I would really like census to be carried out here on the steemit platform because it will like I'd said earlier help the steemit team to know the number of active steemians and those that are inactive because everyday new people from all across the world are registering to become steemians while some steemians have stopped blogging so I really think that census here on the steemit platform would really help a lot.

CONCLUSION

The act of census is very important to be conducted in every country because it helps in knowing the population of any given country and also helps control the level of production.
