Good day steemians how are you all doing today I hope all is well and you all are enjoying your day, today I will be taking part in an amazing contest organize by @goodybest with the theme "The weather condition in our locality"

In my today's entry I will be sharing with you all the present weather condition in my locality and how it's affecting the people in our community and also in addition I will also share it's possibilities to cause disaster and how we all are prepared for it.

WHAT IS THE WEATHER CONDITION IN YOUR LOCALITY AND HOW DOES IT AFFECT PEOPLE'S ACTIVITIES?

Before we continue first let us understand what is being meant by the word weather ☁️. The weather can be defined as the present condition of the atmosphere in a particular area, and when talking of weather it consist of rain, hot weather condition in the dry season and wind/storm.

So now that we all fully understand what is being meant by what a weather is let's move forward to the hint of the contest, currently the present weather condition in my locality is rain all the way because we are in the rainy season.

And trust me when I say this that the continuous rain fall in our locality has greatly affected a lot of people even me as we speak, the market women are suffering a lot because due to the rain their business has been stigmatized and even the okada riders have been forced to park their bikes when it's raining and in most cases it can even rain for a whole day and you can automatically imagine the damage cause.

The rain has affected almost everyone shop owners on the other hand will open their shops and will just be sitting there with no customers all because of rain and also for me personally it has affected me as well in a sense that when I open the shop when it's raining I will just be burning fuel still I won't see any customers all because of rain 🌧️

The rainy season has it's good sides as well as it's bad sides in a sense that when it's raining we will have more than enough water in the house to watch our clothes and dishes on the other hand when it's raining especially if you don't have a car you will have to wait until it stops before you can move out and go to where ever you wanted to go.

DO YOU THINK THERE'S A POSSIBILITY TO CAUSE A DISASTER, IF YES HOW ARE YOU PREPARING FOR IT?

Yes absolutely there's about a 80% possibility of the present weather condition to cause disaster and when talking of disaster it's isn't necessarily the one that can cause people their lives rather it could be the one that can only destroy people's properties.

As seen in the above picture you can see the level of flood cause by rain and most of it can easily get access to a persons house unexpectedly thereby causing damage to their household properties.

And also most of the time most rain will come with a very strong wind which can easily tear people's rooftop to shread especially for those who are just managing in an uncompleted shelter which they provided for themselves.

And since rain is a natural accurance which can't be stop or prevented the only way I and my family are preparing towards it is, for now we are just managing the place we are staying since we rented it and we are just waiting for the rent to expire so that we can move out to a more comfortable apartment.

And I also want to recommend our government who has tried their best to control the level of flooding in our locality by providing us with good roads and gutters as you can see in the above picture.

CONCLUSION

Rainy season is always very hard for the common man, for a man who has a car and lives in a mansion won't be affected by it unlike those living in a mud house in a village that is a victim of flooding.
