Hello everyone,am delighted to participate in this contest and i am grateful to @ngoenyi for organizing this contest.

I am not married yet and do not have a child, but I know that the most beautiful thing that can ever happen to couples is when they are holding their bundle of joy for the first time. That day is the most beautiful day in a their lives, aside their wedding day. Too much rush of emotions - crying and at the same time smiling. This feeling can best be described as bittersweet. It is such a beautiful sight to behold.

IS CHILD BEARING A CHOICE THAT COUPLE MAKE OR IS IT BY ONE OR BOTH?

Childbearing is definitely a choice that has to be made by couples before getting married. It is important to address issues and make a decision before marriage, including child bearing.
Some couples I know do not plan on having children for the first 3-years of their marriage. They usually just want to enjoy each other's company, be with each other, partly because the man feels if the wife gives birth, her attention will naturally shift to the baby. This is why some couples delay having kids. I equally know some couples who had children immediately after marriage. It is basically based on what couples want.

WHEN SHOULD THIS QUESTION BE CONSIDERED BEFORE OR AFTER MARRIAGE?

It should be considered before marriage. Everything about a relationship between a man and woman must be carefully discussed before it is entered into. Often times, cases of failed relationships are due to blind expectations that are harboured without considerations of the other person. As hard as it is to believe, there are women who completely hate the sight of children, and cannot contemplate having any for themselves. This is also applicable to the men. So too avoid shockers, issues of childbearing and the number of kids you expect with each other must be resolved from the get go.

WHAT IS YOUR ADVICE TO COUPLES WHO INTEND TO MAKE DECISION TO BEAR CHILDREN

Childbearing is a beautiful thing there are lots of people who go through a lot to get a child. Some men and women have one problem or the other. It could be an ailment or challenges of some sort. People like this will have to device ways to have children e.g through adoption, IVF or even surrogacy. My advice to couples is that if you are ready to bring in children to this world and take care of them, do it. Considering what's happening in the world, the economy of the nation, you should have kids you are able to take care of and love.
