However, despite the fact that it may appear as though your toddler spends the entire day playing, he is actually working extremely hard, and his life is not at all devoid of stress. He is pushing himself to the boundaries of his physical strength and cerebral learning as he is learning to walk, talk, and climb. He is also learning to climb. In addition to this, he is repeatedly harming himself by falling down, bumping, shocking, and hurting himself on a daily basis. Failure is a continual source of frustration and anger for your toddler since he does not yet know how to learn how to accept the consequences of his actions or how to be more patient with himself. With all of this activity, it is inevitable that the toddler will become fatigued.
With all the physical and mental challenges he faces, the toddler's energy levels can easily deplete. However, fatigue does not deter him from exploring and pushing his limits. As he grows tired, he may become more prone to accidents and mistakes, which in turn can fuel his frustration and impatience. It becomes crucial for caregivers to create a safe and supportive environment for the toddler to rest and recharge, allowing him to continue his relentless pursuit of growth and development.
It is quite possible that he is overtired and in need of restorative and peaceful sleep if you notice that his preferred pastimes or routine duties are rustling. There is a gradual accumulation of physical tiredness, agitation, and stress until he is no longer aware that he is exhausted. If this is the case, it is your responsibility as a parent to assist him in figuring out how to stop and relax. By soothing him into sleep with calm activities in the evening after supper, you may help make the shift from a busy, active, and energetic day to a serene, quiet, and peaceful night. This will help him make the transition from the day to the night. Helping your child disconnect from the world and begin slowing down may be accomplished by doing activities such as coloring a picture, sitting down and watching a peaceful favorite movie, reading books, singing, playing quietly during bath time, or singing lullabies together. If this is done within the context of a regular bedtime ritual, your child will eventually begin to link these activities with bedtime and find them soothing. Additionally, he will be able to readily detect when it is time for him to go to bed. Also, it is essential to take some time to relax with your kid. If he sees you busy in the evenings doing things like cleaning the kitchen, gardening outside, or engaging in other hobbies that require a lot of time, he will most likely want to do the same thing. This will make the routine of getting ready for bed difficult for everyone involved.
