My sister's pupils
👉Are you a student, parent or teacher? How many days within the week did you go to school this week? Were you punctual all those days or there were some days you went late. What happened? Just be sincere |
---|
I'm not any of the above, but I have a sister who is a teacher. Her school days starts from Tuesday to Friday. School days here in Onitsha in the Eastern part of Nigeria starts from Tuesday. Monday's here we observe Compulsory sit at home in all the Eastern states in Nigeria so our day starts basically on Monday.
My sister wakes up by 5.30am, say her morning prayers before going to cook. She usually finish cooking around 6.30am, have her bath, eat breakfast and then go to school. The school which she teaches begins daily by 8.am and she leaves the house daily by 7.45am. The school distance is 15minutes trekking from our house. They dismiss daily by 4.30pm
My sister's tries everything possible to go to school early because their head teacher is very particular about punctuality, she believes that the teachers should live by example, by coming to school early.
👉What school related activities did you engage in to ensure that you, your kids or your students enjoy every school day? |
---|
Some of the things my sister do to engage her students includes.
Teaching them rhymes and poem and we know that school children likes reciting poems.
Teaching them with songs and we know that school children remember songs easily .
Engaging them in games and extra mural activities. She engages them in extra mural activities like games, story telling, moral instructions and drama.
Taking pictures and making videos of them.
My sister's school pupils are usually very excited whenever my sister takes pictures and videos of them.
👉The stress you faced due to school activities? Are They burdensome or you enjoyed them? |
---|
To be a teacher is not easy, it is quite a stressful work. My sister has to wake up daily by 5.30am whether she likes it or not. Taking care of children is taskful, imagine one child at home gives headache, what about 20 children altogether. My sister's pupils falls at the age of 2-3years, they can't do anything on their own.
My sister does literally everything for them, including writing their school work. At the end of each term, she will still set exams, mark scripts and work on their results. Infact, it's not easy to be a teacher.
👉What is your expectations for the coming school week and how are you going to achieve them? |
---|
Well school in my area closes for the term for Easter break this week friday so there's is no expectation or goals for School next week.
👉Why should you not miss any school day? As a parent, why should you not allow your children to miss school any day? |
---|
Missing school can make a student to miss crucial things in school and catching up might be very hard.
Thanks for reading through my post, I invite @pea01, @usoro01 and @akareen to participate in this contest.
