Greeting to everyone in the @steemkids community and to every gallant contest initiator @simonnwigwe, for this masterpiece to bring us closer to who Steemit moderators are. We all wish to grow on this platform, thus we aspire to be Moderators and even curators as we grow. So then, to the questions at hand.

Who is a moderator on the Steemit platform

Before we go into who a moderator is on Steemit, who is a moderator in general? A moderator is a person who examines and reviews writings or articles to ensure consistency or otherwise oversees an assessment.

A Steemit moderator is someone who has dedicated his/her time to review and grading users' posts, based on quality, use of markdowns, and other inquiries about tools used in the process of creating content (e.g use of bots), moderators walk hand in hand with the admin and community to ensure that only the best quality is allowed and certain rules upheld.

What are the things a moderator is supposed to check in every post?

All users of this great platform come in contact with a moderator through the content we create in different communities. So then, what is the work of our beloved moderators?

Moderators as I earlier said review and grade content thus, they check for plagiarism in content to ensure a post free from plagiarism. Plagiarism is a serious crime not only on the Steemit platform but to the world at large, so the moderators check the content to ensure it's plagiarism-free.

Moderators offer corrections to a post by giving words of advice on what to do and also encourage the content creator with adequate observations and good comments.

Steemit moderators also check the Steemit club status of the content creator, the markdown styles, and if the content is Steemexclusive (I.e the content is available only on the Steemit platform). Moderators also Check for beneficiaries if the rules of the contest allow for a beneficiary.

What criteria do you think a user must obtain for him/her to become a moderator?

mine.PNG

Like the work of all moderators/supervisors requires being active so is the work of Steemit moderators, to be a moderator, a user must be very active on the platform and have gained experience on how to use certain tools, such as Plagiarism checker, Bot-free checker, Club status checker, etc.

He/She must have made no power down in the last 3 months and should be friendly to leave friendly, meaningful, and respectful feedback and advice for creators to feel encouraged.

A moderate serves as an Umpire, thus, should have the quality of neutrality in terms of grading the content of respective users.

which community will you like to work in as a moderator and give reasons for your answers

I had big dreams on this platform, once I looked up to being a Moderator and country representative as it will help me to be more advanced in the tools of Steemit and more invested in the project. I have always wanted to grow and be part of Steemit, and being a Moderator is one step toward my goal.

I would love to work as a moderator in the following communities someday.

Before I am anything, I'm a Nigerian, and this is the official Nigerian community on this platform with great Nigerian users I so very much look up to a lot. I would love to put in my experiences gained to bring about quality in this community, who wouldn't love to work in a community dedicated to him? As a countryman, I would love to work as a moderator to bring about quality.

This community reminds me of the first student platform campus connect which I was in love with, it serves as an avenue to connect students, of which we all are students. The experiences I gained as a student can be put to good use in any contest or content since it's for students.

THANK YOU!

I like to invite the following users @starrchris @yakspeace, @josepha, @ruthjoe and @petface

NOTE: Always have a smile on your face, as you are never fully dressed without one.
