How I prepare for an examination

Introduction

Long time friends, welcome to my blog and as you read my post may you never remain the same again, God bless you all, Amen. Exams are one of the things we do to know how qualified we are or person is, in other to get to the next level in life, either by graduating or by advancing to the next section or stage. I thank @simonnwigwe for organizing this contest too.

How do you prepare for an examination?

I prepare for exams in a very meticulous way friends, I always make sure am not quarrelling with anybody before preparing for an examination so that my mind can be at ease and calm. I always make sure am free with almost everyone because is not easy to be free with everyone that's why I made used of the word almost, while preparing for an exam.

I study ahead of the exam day, I always make sure I understand all the things I was thought by my teachers in my classroom and various laboratory while preparing for an exam because I won't pass the exam if I don't do so.

I normally make research on the internet and also read lots of textbooks. Most times I find myself in a situation where I have only few textbooks so I borrow textbooks from the unserious ones in my class as well as from my school library, then I was the library prefect 🥰

Do you have any trick that you have developed over time that works perfectly for you?

I did have a trick. Each time am trying to understand a long definition of a concept, I normally write it down on a paper, I don't write the full words but I only write the first letter of each word in the definition. There's an illustration of what am talking about below.

That's how is done and I find myself the definition quickly and accurate. I used this pattern of study for 2 years in senior high school and till today it has never disappointed me.

When is your favorite time to study for an examination and why?

My favorite time to study for an examination is in the afternoon right in my school library only. I enjoy reading in the library alot, most especially the time I was made the library prefect, I had the right to send any noisy student out of the library for comfortable reading.

The reason I always preferred to read in the library is because I find it difficult to read at Hime because of the noise in my house, I just read in the school library and revise everything around 5 in the morning before preparing for school. I hate reading at night because I easily dose off mostly when there's no power supply. I just blog in steemit at night.

Do you feel scared when going in for exams? How have you been able to control or fight this feeling?

Yes I do get scared when going for an exam and this only happens when I didn't had enough time to read, I used to be busy alot sometimes and I fail to calm down and study properly so I get scared whenever am going for an exam I didn't full prepare for.

I fight this fear most times by believing myself and cheering up. I always tell myself that am far far above failure and I will never fail no matter what. I will stay cool and refresh my memory, sometimes I chew gums secretly in other to stay excited.

What advice do you have to give to those who still find it difficult to prepare for an exam?

Preparing for an exam isn't an easy thing to do so I urge those people to strive hard and they will develop more I interest in preparing for an exam. They just have to always think positively and pray before preparing for an exam. There was time my junior high school teacher told my classmates and I this in school;

Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance.

My teacher called this the 5 Ps He said that if we don't plan very well or properly,in anything we do in life, we will become a failure. The 5 Ps is self-explanatory and am glad I heard something like this that day. So dear friends please ensure you derive joy in studying for an exam if not you will end up becoming a lazy student.

Conclusion

Exams are good for every student to carry out, in schools is known as a compulsory exercise at the end of each term or semester. Nowadays exams are done in the wrong way as people cheats anyhow in the exam hall and this is a very serious offence in my country Nigeria. Thanks for reading.
