Introduction

Greetings to all the kids in the house.I am sure you are all doing great. The weekly lesson is indeed a way of keeping our minds active and engaged.I hope we can keep the ball rolling.

This week we shall look at the topic LCM of Two Digit Numbers. However,we shall start with smaller examples involving a pair of 1-digit numbers.

LCM stands for lowest common multiple or least common multiple.Multiples of a number are numbers that the number can divide without remainder. For example the multiples of 6 are numbers that 6 can divide without remainder and they include:6,12,18,24 etc.

Now when I say the LCM of 6 and 12,it means listing the multiples of 6 and the multiples of 12 and then selecting the lowest mutiple which is common to them.

Multiples of 6=6,12,18.....
Multiples of 12=12,24,36.......

Notice the smallest number common to mutiples of 6 and 12 is 12(i.e the LCM).

Now let's see how to find LCM by division process.

Examples

1.)Find the LCM of 4 and 8
I have explained the procedure via the video above
