Steemit Engagement Challenge (SEC) WK14:#2: Thank you!

Hope you all are doing well and good and enjoying the best days of your life. This is me @shahid2030 from Pakistan and you are here reading my post. You all are welcome here from the core of my heart.

This is my participation in a contest Thank you! organized in Steem Kids & Parents by @steemkidss.

Thank you mean greetings that person who help you or done any service for you. We mostly say thanks to others when they are good or kind to us, so as a gratitude we greet them. We have too many occasions when we say thanks to someone.

• When someone helps us we say thank you.
• When make us happy or glad.
• We say thanks when other respect us.
• If someone praise us, we say thank you.
•When we receive gifts from someone we say thank you.

So these are the five occasions in which we say thanks to the addresser. There are too many, but if have mentioned these five as per asked.

I think even in normal we should say thanks to other. It shows our politeness and people will think about us that he is a gentleman. He is a sophisticated kind of person. Plus the listener also becomes happy if you greet him/her with good words, such as thank you, my pleasure, most welcom etc. These are all the words that increase your self esteem & respect in the society.

A polite behavior is too much important in life. If you are polite and soft mannered person, people will remember you with good words. Even those will remember you to whom you only mate once. On the other hand a harsh, and ill mannered person is never been liked by anyone. Everyone want to divert his path from him.

So as I have said that these words increase the politeness of an individual, it's show that you are an educated and well mannered person. People will like you and respect you.

Let me tell you a story of my hostel days, but before I am telling you the story let me clear something to my non Muslim brothers and sisters here. In Islam we have Salam "Assalamualaikum Wa RahmatUllah Wa Barakatu". It's a kind of greetings and it's mean, Peace be upon you. So now let's come back to the story how Salam and saying thank you helped me.

When I was at hostel, I used to say Salam and Thanks to everyone, even if he is junior to me, sweeper, helper or whatever. We have a colonel Hostel warden there. He loves this habit too much. He noticed this habit of mine. Everytime I saw him I say Salam to him and whenever I had some problem at the end of conversation I would say " Thank You Sir", so as I said he noticed me doing that.

One day in a fallen, Infront of the whole hostel he made me come out. He said applause for him. Then he said about my habit of Salam and Thank you. He actually liked these things too much. So it was really a proud moment for me to be called Infront of too many people and got praised. This was so special moment for me. So this is how that small habit helped me there.

I think we should say thanks to everyone, no matter he is junior or senior, poor or rich you know him, or know him not. Don't ever hesitate in it. I have seen sometimes people feel shy in saying thanks, or other small greeting words. I think we shouldn't be shy, it's shows that we are from a good family background. As I have said earlier it increases your self respect. You will look a polite and gentlemen kind of person.

I would say not only Thank you, but we should say all these Short greeting words. Sometimes make it the issue of ego or something like that. I believe their is no shame in it if you say thank you, welcome or Salam to those who are below you or junior to you. It will always increase your respect in their hearts.

Plus it's another advantage is that it gives motivation to the listener. Fir example you have a sweeper at your office and you tell him, Ohhh Thank you dear you have cleaned the office well, nice job, I am sure he will make his full effort next time to do even better. Because he is motivated by your kind words.
