Assalamu Alaikum to all. Today I'm going to participate in the Steem Kids & Parents Community Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 11 Week 5 Contest. Recreation has been selected as the topic of competition. Today I will share with you my ideas, activities and importance of entertainment through this competition.

What do you understand by recreation, its forms include?

What I mean by recreation is to do activities in life that give me pleasure or can soothe my mind. Whatever I do, I can gain my peace of mind. And besides I can relieve my tiredness. I think entertainment is very important in this busy life of ours. Because man can never be in a continuous work. I think that if I want to keep myself away from stress I should have a place for recreation in my life.

There are different forms of recreation. Each person prefers a different format. I think that anyone who likes recreation should do activities that they can enjoy on their own. Among the various forms of recreation I am mentioning some :

• Travelling.
• Watching Movies.
• Swimming.
• Listening to music.
• Reading Books.
• Play Sports.

What kind of recreational activities did you enjoy (State 3 of these)

I enjoy many different recreational activities. In fact it totally depends on my timing. As I am a working woman. So I have to spend time outside for work 5 days of the week. In that case, I try to spend my remaining time outside of work indulging in recreational activities. I choose my leisure time to enjoy my pastimes. For example:

First of all I love to travel a lot. Whenever I get time I am go anywhere with my family. Which I think is the best way to enjoy the recreational activity. And to tell you the truth traveling makes me feel good.

Secondly, I do my entertainment activity is watching movies. I watch my favorite movies during my holidays. I especially love to watch horror movies. Which makes me very happy.

Thirdly, I would consider shopping as my pastime. Because if I shop when I m not in a good mood. When I buy something I like I feel better. And I enjoy all the activities that keep my mind as entertainment.

Why is recreational activity important to children and parents?

I think recreational activities are very important in life for a child and parent. Because a child needs entertainment for his all-round mental development along with studies throughout his life. Similarly, a parent should also take time out from his responsibilities to do some recreational activities. It has many benefits from both physical and mental aspects. I have presented its importance below:

• Any recreational activity for a child and parent strengthens the relationship. Because if you can find time to do some recreational activities with your family in the midst of your busy schedule, then trust and faith will grow in each other.

• Recreational can one of the ways for the mental development of children. For example if children are allowed to do what they want they can acquire the ability to think positively.

• Recreational activities also have impact on the physically skill of children. Children must be physically strong by playing sports, swimming, exercising.

• If parents and children watch an educational movie, there is a huge opportunity for them to gain knowledge along with entertainment. Which helps to develop as a better person in the future.

Where do you enjoy most of your recreational activities?

When I enjoy most is travelling. To be honest it gives me a feeling good. I think so traveling is the best form of recreational activities for me. Although I don't have much time to travel anywhere frequently when I am working, I travel whenever I get time. And it keeps me away from my fatigue in the midst of all my busyness. This traveling helps to keep my mind very cheerful.

I have visited various tourist areas of Bangladesh. I like the sea and the mountains the most. Cox's Bazar beach is the famous tourist spot of Bangladesh. Where I have been 5 times till now. I also like the natural places with sea and mountains the most. And I love to enjoy these natural surroundings. Which is the main part of my recreational activities. Traveling refreshes my mind and makes me feel physically fit. And that time I enjoy.

With whom do you enjoy recreational activities?

When I am out traveling I like to enjoy with my family of course. Because my family is with me everywhere I go. Like me they consider traveling as one of the forms of enjoy recreational. When I plan to travel somewhere I prefer to spend time with my family first. Also I always go with my family for a shopping mall or a movie theater & spending time with them is a happy moment for me.

In conclusion recreational is an integral part of our lives which serves as our basic needs. If there is no recreational activities in life then there is no happiness or pleasure in life. So we should make the time in this short life of ours useful for recreation. Entertainment is one thing that can lead life gracefully by managing your worldly wants according to your will.
