Weekly drawing contest|| week #28 Begins: Draw A Box fish

Assalamualaikum friends. How are you? I'm fine too. I am @shiftitamanna. Today I will participate in the weekly contest hosted by @eliany mam. The subject of the competition is to draw a box fish. Drawing is my hobby, so I definitely participate whenever @eliany mam organizes a drawing competition. Thank you very much, mam for this. So today I will present to you how to draw a box fish and some vital information about box fish. I hope you like it.

Here is what I need to draw my Box Fish:

• A4 Size Paper

• Pencil and Rubber

• Oil Pastels Colors

• Sign Pen

So Let's See How I Drew it.

Step 1 :

• First, I drew the shape of the fish on an A4 size paper. Since the fish is box-shaped, I have to be careful while drawing to make the shape like a box.

Step 2 :

• Then I drew its eyes, tail, and wings.

Step 3 :

• Then I'm about the importance of boxfish. The characteristic is that they appear like circles all over its body. I drew small circles all over the fish's body in this step.

Step 4 :

• In this step, I colored the entire fish except for the eyes, fins, and tail using a yellow color sign pen, yellow, brown, and white well pastels colors.

Step 5 :

• I outlined the small circles of the fish and the whole fish with a black marker pen.

Step 6 :

• Then lastly, I filled the circles with coffee color ink. And filled the circle with black color for the eyes.

Then this is the final look of our box fish.

Describe A Boxfish

A boxfish is any of the small species of shallow-water marine fish. We also call it trunkfish or cowfish. Boxfish is recognizable by its bright yellow body with black spots. And as the fish grows, the body's spots become smaller and brown. Most of the boxfish's body is solid and box-shaped. They have a carapace that protects their body. A separate species of boxfish has horns on its head and is thought to be a variant of the cowfish.

Where do they live?

Boxfish are found throughout the Pacific and Indian Oceans and the southeastern Atlantic Ocean. Boxfishes are found in the ocean from 1 meter to 40 meters deep. They live in coral and rock reefs. Adult boxfish are usually solitary and can be found in various deep coastal areas.

Is it easily seen?

Because boxfish live in some geographical regions or deep seas, it may not be possible to see them at any given time. But most boxfish can be found in aquarium stores, even if not in the sea. And most boxfish are collected from the wild in the Pacific Ocean and kept in various aquariums for visitors.

Have you seen one before? If yes, where?

I've never seen it live. But I have seen them while watching various marine biodiversity programs on television, and since then, I have recognized the boxfish. Although it is not kept in any aquarium in our country, one day, it will be in our country too.

Are they important to man, what significant role do they play in humans life? Talk about their nutritional values and usefulness.

Yes, of course, boxfish play an essential role in human life. Because boxfishes are very beautiful, people are attracted to these fishes. And various fishmongers collect them from the deep sea to display to the people. By doing this, it will be possible to develop the economy and morals of a country through tourists.
And if we talk about its nutritional value, it is said to have a lot of nutrients. But the point here is that it contains toxic substances that protect themselves by producing tetrodotoxin. It is also harmful to humans. However, if you want to cook this fish, it must be appropriately prepared by an experienced chef.

If they are dangerous to man tell us their dangerous part

It will do you no harm, but it can be life-threatening to a predator. It is pahutoxin, formerly known as ostracitoxin, and its toxin can cause whole-body pain and rupture of red blood cells if humans come in contact with it.

Some part of the country eat it, so tell us have you eaten it before, what's your favourite recipe is it dry , fresh or barbecued?

This boxfish is eaten in different countries. Many of them eat grilled boxfish because it smells very delicious. It also contains healthy proteins. I have never eaten it. But if I ever get a chance, I will eat grilled boxfish.
