Assalamu Alaikum. I hope everyone is healthy. Weekly drawing contest hosted by @eliany mam in Steem Kids & Parents community. Going to participate today in week #32; it begins: Draw A Parrot. Thank you very much for organizing such a beautiful contest, as always. Today I will draw a Parrot according to the competition theme. I hope you like it.

• Below are the things I will need to draw the Parrot first :

• A4 Size Offset Paper.

• Oil pastels wax colors.

• Fiber Crystal Color Pencils.

• Pencil and eraser.

Step : 1

• First, I will draw the Parrot. I have drawn two birds. And the two birds seem to be sitting on a tree branch. I drew it like that.

Step : 2

• I painted the birds red, as seen in the first image. In the 2nd image, I will draw the first bird with different colors, which you can see in the below picture.

Step : 3

• In the next step, I painted both birds. Next, I painted on the tree branches. I colored the part of the tree branch green, black, and coffee colors.

Step : 4

• In this step, I painted the tree branch entirely. And in the following image, I painted the tree's leaves green.

Step : 5

• In the last step, I finished coloring the whole Parrot.

Describe A Parrot

Parrots are found all over the world in different colors and with different features. Available all over the world, like gray parrots. Parrots have bent red beaks with black circles around their necks. Parrots eat fruit, vegetables, seeds, grains, and boiled rice.

Their favorite fruit is guava, and their favorite vegetable is chilis. Parrots are talking birds because they can mimic the human voice. Parrots are usually found in forests and tree bills. Some people keep parrots in cages and tame them, which is currently illegal and inappropriate. Some people train parrots and take them to circuses to entertain people.

Where do they live?

Parrots are most prominent in the rainforest, even though they are found in countless other tropical habitats worldwide. Parrots feed on seeds, fruits, grass, leaves, and plant shoots and use their strong beaks to break hard shells, grind their food, and as a third limb for climbing. Parrots can be found on all tropical and subtropical continents and regions, including Africa, Australia, Oceania, and South and South East Asia.

What does it eat, tell us about the lifestyle of a parrot

Raw or steamed vegetables (preferably organic, when available) Cooked whole grains and pseudo-grains, such as rice (brown, wild, or prohibited), oats, barley, quinoa, buckwheat, amaranth, and teff. Soaked and cooked or germinated legumes. Raw, soaked, or germinated nuts and seeds.

Most wild parrots are social creatures except when they pair up and focus on raising young. The birds commonly spend brief periods allopreening (preening the feathers on each other's heads) or interacting and vocalizing with a flock. These flocks can be noisy and active.

Are they important to man, what significant role do they play in humans life? Tell us the importance of a parrot do they have any nutritional value if we are to eat it?

The Parrot plays an essential role in its habitat by helping to spread the forest. Because not all consumed seeds are digested, many are passed in the bird's guano over new forest areas. Some species eat nectar and are essential in pollinating many plants in tropical forests.

If they are dangerous to man tell us their dangerous part

Parrots are wild birds that have been domesticated, and sometimes they can be dangerous if not handled with care. Unlike cats and dogs, they are the only wild birds that have been tamed. If proper attention, training, and care are not provided, dangerous scenarios can happen with both the owner and the bird.

Do you encourage us to have it at home, what do you think?

The larger parrots can be expensive to take care of, messy, destructive, and loud, and some individuals may exhibit aggressive behaviors during adolescence. Like dogs, parrots require a certain amount of basic training and proper early socialization to mature into good companions.
