Hi steemians,
It is the third week of the steemit engagement challenge for season 6 and I'm delighted to share with you all my entry number 3 for the week. The topic I will be attempting today in this noble community is quite interesting and it says "Effects of parents' behaviour on child's physical and mental health". As we all know, every child's current behaviour was from his/her parent be it directly or indirectly.
As a child, the first people you see and learn from are your parents. Though not everyone is privileged to be with both parents and some don't even have the opportunity to be with their parents at all. Whoever trained you as you are growing up must have influenced you with his or her behaviour either positively or negatively.
How has your parent's behaviour affected you? (Positively or negatively?)
I never had the chance to grow up with my parents as a child because, at the early age of 2, my uncle took me to stay with him in a faraway land. As I have said earlier, whoever you might have stayed with will be the person to influence your behaviour. My uncle happens to be military personnel and his wife is a businesswoman.
I never had complete time to spend with them because they are always very busy. My uncle is very disciplined as he always ensures that I do the right thing even if it is the hard way. He is not too friendly at all and that made me scared of him as well. His wife was quite a friendly type and will always want to talk to me anytime she has the chance. She is quite understanding and always ready to profile solutions to any problem I have.
Through these two characteristics, I learnt to be very disciplined in whatever I'm doing and also I learn to always listen to other people any time they make complaints because you never can tell what they are passing through at the moment.
Which of your parent's behaviour do you like most?
Sincerely, I love both of their behaviours. The disciplined nature of my uncle has made me achieve a lot in life today because as a young man growing up he taught me that with discipline and focus, achieving anything is possible. When he sets his mind to getting something, he makes sure that no matter what happens he must get that thing.
His wife, on the other hand, taught me to always listen to the complaints of others because it is only then that I will be able to know the pains others are passing through. She taught me to be affectionate and compassionate when it comes to dealing with other people. So as you can see the two behaviour is what I have combined and that has brought me this far.
What's the best way parents can impart good Values to their kids?
The best way in which parents can impart values to their kids is through their character and behaviour. Since I was a child and till this stage of my life, I have never seen my parents quarrel or fight over anything. They both of them look so mature in their dealings. People around never hear them exchanging words and that was something I learnt and promise to do when I finally become a father and a husband.
In the area we are staying, occasionally I hear other families exchanging words and even fighting each other but that has never been experienced in my home. They always tell me to do what I know is right and that my days will be longer on earth.
To me, parents can better impart to their children by living an exemplary life in their presence. Bring them up in the way of God and teach them to fear God and respect all their elders. Let them see every elderly person as their parent and in doing so they will be blessed by anyone that sees them around.
Write a short message to your parent
My dear parents, I want to sincerely appreciate you for giving birth to me. I didn't grow up with you all but you gave me out to those who took care of me and raised me to be the person I'm today. I know you don't have much but your constant care and support through your words of encouragement and prayers have brought me this far. I request that you stay longer so that I can reciprocate all and even more to you all for your contributions and support.
Every child has been affected either positively or negatively by his or her parents or guardian. I didn't stay with my parents but my guardian saw me through and made me who I'm today. My parents were not financially buoyant to take care of me as expected hence they always support me using their prayers and encouragement. These words and the training I got have modelled me into being a better person today. I want to invite a few friends to also join the contest. I invite @josepha, @waterjoe, @steemdoctor1, @lavanyalakshman and @msharif to also join the contest.

So sad to hear that you don't get the chance to grow with your parents. But you grow up with perfect parents and loving aunts and uncles. Thats great.
Nice explanation from you. Take care of yourself, my friend.

Military personnel? Wow!!! You don't need to tell me how.much discipline you would have acquired from him. That is a profession that instill discipline as one of their ethics.
Been attentive and patient enough to listen to people.wjile they speak is a virtue. Good you got that too.
Thanks for sharing this nice piece with us.
