Steemit Engagement Challenge S6/W5 - should gift giving only be for a season in a year?

Hi steemians,
I welcome you all specially to my blog today. This is my last entry in this week's engagement challenge. I have decided to make this entry today because it is a special day which has been set aside in the world to celebrate the birth of the Messiah. On the birth of Jesus, we are good that some wise men brought him a gift and that is the reason I have decided to talk about this topic today.

To fully participate in this contest today, I will be attempting the questions given below. Without any further ado, let's get into the business of the day. Read to the end as you may have one or more things to learn from the article today.

A gift is something you give to someone freely without any charge attached to it. Now on several occasions, when we want to purchase something in the market, we pay for it but in a situation where you are given that thing without any form of charges attached then it becomes a gift.

Gift-giving is the act of giving someone something no matter how small or big it is without charges attached to it. It means that if I give anyone anything without any form of charge attached to it, I have given the person a gift.

In my opinion, gift-giving should not just be a seasonal something it can be done at any time and anywhere. I have said this because we don't know what the next day we look like. If we should keep gift giving just seasonal, we may not be able to reach that period or possibly we may not have anything within the period hence at any point we can give what we have as a gift to someone.

There are many opportunities in which one can exchange gifts with others and a few examples of these opportunities include the Christmas celebration, birthday celebration, new year celebration, marriage celebration, graduation, love feast etc.

There are many other opportunities which are not listed above where gifts can b exchanged among people. All these times present themselves so that we show those concerned how special they mean to us. So this is the main reason for presenting a gift within the periods I have listed above and more.

Gifts are not restricted to any specific items. In my opinion, anything can be given as a gift provided it's something useful to the receiver. So whatever you present to the receiver that will be useful to him/her directly or indirectly is a gift.

A few examples of the things that are commonly given as gifts include laptops, shoes, shirts, phones etc. The list is numerous and that is the reason I said earlier that anything you give to the receiver that is useful either directly or indirectly is okay.

The main motive to give a gift should be to show appreciation. If for instance, after seeing the struggle of my parents in training me for school and making me the person I'm today, I will then decide to appreciate their effort by presenting a gift to them.

More also, after someone has done well in whatever he or she is assigned to do for instance in a classroom, a student stands out among his equals, as a teacher you may decide to encourage him or to push further by giving him/her a gift. This will go a long way to motivate the student to do more.

Currently, in the steemit platform, we just saw the award distributions for best authors, contributors and communities. It is a gift which will help to motivate all the users to do more. Everyone that receives the 100% upvote from SC01, is very happy I'm certain of that.

Everyone is very much qualified to give a gift. As I have stated earlier, gifts can be anything useful to the receiver be it directly or indirectly that is given without any charges attached. This means that anything you give out to someone without the person paying for it is a gift. So a child, an adult or any category you find yourself in, you can give a gift to someone. It may be something that is not worth $1 but since it is given out without a charge it is a gift.

Both the giver and the receiver of a gift are supposed to be very excited during the process of gift-giving. As we all know, a gift is something that is given without any charges attached hence anyone recei receiving something free should be very excited. More also, the giver is supposed to be happy too since he/she is putting a smile on the face of someone.

Gift-giving is the act of giving someone something without charges attached to it. Everyone is eligible to give a gift because the size or the weight does not change the name.
