Application For Season 8 Steemit Engagement Challenge For Steem Kids & Parents Community

We hereby apply for the season 8 community engagement challenge on behalf of steem kids & parents community in response to the invitation to apply that you released 5 days ago here. It will be an honor to host this engagement challenge for the third time after hosting season 6.

Steem kids & Parents Community Purpose

Steem kids and parents community is a community for the kids and parents of this wonderful ecosystem. We started as a community for kids alone out of love for kids and to give them a space to explore and save for their future and as well get use to the ecosystem as those that can replace us when we are gone. But just 3 months ago, we decided to include the parents of these kids as part of the community. This purpose was born out of the fact that kids thrive more in the company of their parents.

We want all parents to feel a sense of belonging and to be part of their kid’s experience in this great community.
To know what their children are doing and to contribute towards them having a wow experience in this community.

To create a safe future for our kids and parents. We see a future where children are completely safe and have the best environments to pursue their dreams and aspirations alongside their parents through our community projects. We imagine a future where the steem blockchain powers real life-changing opportunities for children and parents all over the world.

Every child and parent matters and deserve all the best things in life. We aim at supporting children and parents around the world.

Steem Kids & parents community has long been a community for kids but has been expanded to include parents. We the expansion announcement today here. Nothing much changed but just the name and the inclusion of parents. It is now 3 months that we changed to this bigger and better Community.

When this community was created, the founder started running the community with her personal earnings and lovers of kids later started making delegations to the community. Most users who also love kids made some sacrifices to run contests as well as to ensure that the community continues growing despite having a hard start.

Today, we are 5358 subscribers and 105 active users.

We have active admin and moderators who are willing and eager to review entries to the contests as soon as they are dropped or at most within 12 hours of the entry. We are here below, members with excess energy

Since we are 8 MODs that are ready to review publications, we have grouped ourselves in two, 5
4 for each day in alternating method from Mondays till Saturdays while everyone joins hands on Sunday to review.

In less than 2 years of our existence , we have been able to build our steempower to +42k. This is as a result of consistent power up and with the help of the constant supports that we have been receiving as a community. We are committed to powering up our earnings because we understand the importance. We have also been consistently supporting members with it.

@ngoenyi, who is the founder of the community is in custody of all the keys. But she has shared the keys with @simonnwigwe because of her absence to ensure continuity of the community as a going concern. Other mods also have the posting key for updates on some of our contests.

Currently, all moderators review all publications in the community according to our turn. This is to say that we have a running and effective schedule for reviewing all the Publications made in the community as soon as they are published, at most, within 12 hours that they are published.

As we review, we encourage them to comment on other people's publications to encourage engagement. This has proved very effective.

Each individual user is different from the others and they all in most cases have unique problems in terms of improving the quality of their publications. It is at this background that steemkids community check the individual publications of every member in order to give advice, corrections and suggestions for improvements. Each mod serves the purpose of advising users if they notice they are not making quality posts.

Additionally, series of articles on how to improve the quality of Publications have been published in the community and included in our Notice board

Our daily picks post published daily by the community contains instructions on how to improve the quality of Publications.

• We hosted season 6 engagement challenge and we proved that we were capable as we were able review publications within 12 hours of publication.

• Because we are community for kids and parents and we form the pillar of every household around the world.

• We already check publications as they are posted in the community. We review as soon as possible and will double our efforts during engagement challenge as we demonstrated in season 3 . We will also double and even triple our efforts this time if we are chosen.

• Steemkids community is bobbling forth with publications on a daily basis that are of good quality and as such, these ones deserve to be encouraged.

• We are consistently building our steempower despite being just for 16 months. We already have built+42k sp.

• We have been actively educating and supporting the kids all around the globe to make steemit a wonderful place for them to blog.

• We only support publications that are steemexclusive and we mute plagiarized contents. We do not even support less quality contents too.

• We run contests regularly with the community account along with the ones organized by some MODs.

Thanks for this wonderful opportunity. We will surely do our best in this engagement challenge if we are selected.
