My favorite game as a kid was hide-and-seek.

As a little boy, if there was anything I enjoyed so much it was living in a neighborhood where there are so many neighbors with children of the same age group because I loved playing a lot. My mum always said I was a smart boy but then I never saw myself as a smart boy because I always loved spending my time playing instead of reading or doing something else.

The fact that my parents were not always around gave my siblings and me the opportunity always to play as much as we wanted. When we were growing up in our knit community the children there also had a fondness, for playing. It was fun, so fun that we had our time for playing and for resting (when our parents were around). We had so many different games to choose from, and we all had our favorites back then.

I like anything challenging but one funny thing is if I ever failed at it I felt so sad to the point that I might even cry. My favorite game back then was "hide 'N seek", I liked this game mostly for the fact that it was challenging. Since there were so many back then, hide and seek was super fun because it hardly ever got to my turn to lose. Well, there were a variety of hide and seek and my favorite was the one when we would go and hide and then someone would hide sticks at different places and call us out to look for the sticks.

I was so good at finding the sticks back then to the point that most of them got tired of me.Personally, I had a knack, for finding things during that time because I always disliked misplacing something. Playing that game in particular felt like losing something and having the urge to find it again. These sticks can be hidden anywhere so I always put myself in the position of the person hiding the sticks and also the kind of environment I'm in and that helped me most times to look for the sticks.

Most times the sticks are hidden in the same place so once one person finds the sticks and takes theirs, it's easier for the rest also to find theirs. So one of the rules of the game was to never let the next person know when you find the sticks, just pick yours and take it to the person that hid the sticks. It was mostly entertaining, but it was also thought-provoking, and I believe it helped me a few times in real-life situations.

I no longer play that game, but I still have good eyes and brains when it comes to searching for something. The truth is I won't mind playing that game again but it's something that I won't just do. But I do know that I'm definitely going to play this game with my children if I get the opportunity to or even my niece or nephew, hehe.
