" Large and small families, likes and dislikes"

I'm opportune to throw more light on the above mentioned topic, but before then let's dive into the definition of a family first. A family is a group of people or individuals shares the same bond and who are related by blood (birth), marriage, adoption etc living together in a particular household.

A family is categories in to two classes;

1. Extended family (large family)
2. Nuclear family (small family)

LARGE FAMILY

In developed countries, a family is considered to be large with three or more children and it is not encouraged due to the present world's economy. However, some countries especially the African countries consider more than that number to be a large family.

LIKES

• It is of advantage to have enough hands to look after the younger ones

• The work load is less as there will be division of labor

• The children will learn to love and share as as they will always have to share everything

DISLIKES

It will be difficult to provide for everyone in the family due to economy hardship

• To raise so many children to become responsible adult is not an easy task

• To train many children through school till higher education might be impossible.

SMALL FAMILY

Small family as the name implies is said to be a type of family with fewer individuals usually one or two children with the parents making it a total of five persons who are related by blood. This set of a family square is appreciated by much and encourage in almost every countries around the globe because of limited problems compared to larger family and considering the world's economic status and condition.

Likes:

• Everyone will be cared for and honoured.

• Fight will be avoided .

• Lesser expenses
  because of fewer individuals to look after financially, physically and other wise.

• Good upbringing as attention will be focused on one or two persons.

• The children will take responsibilities .

Dislikes

• Too much of work load for the children as there are fewer hands to help.

• Children may be reserved or unwilling to share because everyone is being taken care of equally no one is lacking.

• Wasting of food due to preferences .

Conclusively, with the above stated points, nuclear family otherwise known as small family is the best because the advantages outweighs the disadvantages and it makes parenting easier.
