This week has been really hectic, and I felt that it would do me some good to go untangle some tired nerves. This I did by reading a novel
I have always loved reading novels whether online or offline. It's a way to relax. This week I read a novel titled Not an Easy Route.

The book is authored by a Nigerian - Sunday Okoh. It is published by the popular lantern books in Ikeja, Lagos state. The book has a total of 133 pages excluding the books dedication and cover page. The book also has 14 chapters which is written in sequential order.
The book Not an Easy Route is a very beautiful book and contains a lot of life lessons. Let me tell you a bit about the story.
The book talks about the story of a boy (Adekole) who lost his father as a teenager. The boy tries to get help from his uncle who turned out to be evil and ends up sending the boy and his poor mother away from his father's property and claiming the property to be his.
At that tender age, the boy starts suffering, he eventually leaves his mother and his village and travels t another village with his mother's relative who was a wealthy Cocoa farmer.
In a new land with nobody apart from his mother's relative who cared less about him . The boy is left to fend for himself in the cocoa farm. He eventually does his best and saves up the little money he earned. With his savings, he decided to quit the cocoa job and pursue a brighter future.
He enrolls in a tertiary institution only to discover the money which he saved was not enough to even see him through his first year. He does many menial jobs In forests, construction sites and even had to forego many meals and pleasures just to ensure he makes it.
And as they say, fortune smile on the brave, he eventually finishes his tertiary education only to discover there's no job for him. With his newly acquired certificate, he becomes a gateman for a wealthy man only to be thrown out after some months for falling in love with his employers daughter. (I pitied him so much though). He stays hungry for some months and vows not to fall in love again 🤣🤣🤣.
Luck shines on him and he gets a job and eventually get married.... I'll indeed say he's route to success was not an easy route.

Not an Easy Route indeed was a nice recreation and I'll recommend it for anyone who loves reading. Guess what, after reading, I felt two things: The urge not to give up at the project I'm currently handling (motivated) and I felt like sleeping, as I was tired. 🤣
Hey @emmyjnr, @nsijoro and @diamondnkenta what's your recreational review.

I love y'all
