Good day to everyone and welcome once again to another exciting display of talent in the drawing challenge featuring 'tigers'.
Describe a tigger
A tiger is a carnivorous wild animals, armed with a muscular body, retractable claws and huge canines. Tigers are easy to identify, because of the black vertical lines that run on an orange colored background, it's under belly is white with the black stripes continuing on it. They look like very big cats, but you should never try to pet one or get too close even while in a cage.
Tigers are intelligent predators, they can track and kill both small and large animals for food. The male Tigers can weigh up to 300 kilograms
Tigers are not very social animals, they often hunt alone, sprints into it's catch. Though they can run very fast, they can't keep up for long. The female tiger gives birth to four cubs and will care for it's young for one and a half years. To feed it's cubs, most tigers hunt at night because they are nocturnal animals, they often rest or sleep during the day.
They a very territorial animals, marking their territory with special scratch marks on tree backs and some urine which other tigers can easily detect. A few tigers sometimes hunt and live together in a group called an "ambush" unlike most members of the cat family, tigers love water and are good at swimming.
I have been seeing tigers on TV and none in real life.
Humans don't kill tigers for food but will do so for their fur and it's body parts are used for traditional medicine. The tigers in the wild affects the population of other animals
It time to draw our Tiger
Material needed
- Pencil
- Plain sheet of paper
- Crayon
- Eraser
Step 1
I started by signing the blank paper with my user name
Step 2
Tigers have long tails, about three foot. I had to start with my tigers tail and hind legs which are longer than the fore legs.
Step 3
Now more of the hind leg is out and one of the fore limb. Did you know that it's for limbs are shorter but more powerful to support landing after a leap?
Step 4
Adding the second fore limb, the head and back.
Step 5
Adjusting to give the for limbs more muscles and the reducing the thickness of the tail.
Step 6
Adding it's second hind legs and the outline for it's face.
**"
Step 7
The most outstanding feature on the tiger are it's stripes. Curve the stripes to add depth to the drawing. Place the whiskers and shading with pencil
More strips are added till it's time to colour
Step 8
Ready to apply colour
Applying the colour on the pencil shading reduced the brightness of the stripes
There was need to do the shading again.
Step 9
Conclusion
Thank you all for following the simple steps I have presented in this drawing. I believe the kids will follow along and learn some facts about tigers.
I will love you to visit my blog next week for another drawing Challenge.
I invite @goodybest, @fonexsignature and @esthyfashion to take part in this Contest.
