Hi, kids and parents
Compliments of the season from Nigeria. The wall clock is ticking fast. In less than 12 hours (WAT), we will be ushering in 2023 with loud celebrations and jamborees. As part of our last-minute activities on Steemit for the year, I and several steemians have shared “a few things we would love to accomplish within the 1st quarter of 2023”, that is, between the first three months, January - March. Do well to peruse these articles submitted for this contest organized by @steemkidss after reading me.

My bucket list for the first quarter of 2023

Introduction

The year 2022 has been quite a rollercoaster all around the world. It is the year that the longest-reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, passed. It also marks the major escalation of the Russo-Ukraine war, cryptocurrency's dip, the death of the 22-year-old Kurdish-Iranian woman, Masha Amini and the subsequent prohibition of females from acquiring higher education in Afghanistan.

Aside from the numerous not-so-good events, there were exciting and happy moments like when the COVID-19 protocol eased around the world and that minute Lionel Messi won the World Cup, ending the agelong GOAT war on social media.

Though the turnout of events can not be controlled, it is wise for people and businesses to set out goals to accomplish on both rainy and heydays. So I will be answering the following questions in a bit.

✅ List at least 5 things you will love to accomplish within the 1st quarter of 2023
✅ Do they have any financial involvements?
✅ How do you intend to raise the funds?
✅ Will you be needing any assistance? From who?
✅ How will you feel if you can accomplish your budget at the end of the quarter?

The things I will love to accomplish within the 1st quarter of 2023

Despite the challenges and limitations that might arise based on unforeseen economic, physical and social factors, there are a few things I will love to accomplish within this time frame.

✔ Complete my first semester examinations for my final year program as an English undergraduate.

✔ Take a 2-3 month writing course to brush up my writing skills as this is a prerequisite to creating more quality posts on this platform.

✔ Commit 4-5 hours weekly as a volunteer at the various NGOs I have registered with this month.

✔ Set aside 2hrs weekly to coach the newbies I have introduced to this platform.

✔ Contribute to the Steemit ecosystem by creating at least 2 quality posts weekly.

Are there any financial involvements?

Yes, there are. These goals listed above will require enough money to fund them. For the first goal, there will be a need to pay my tuition fees in full. Also, most writing courses are paid with only a few free. Even if it were free, gathering materials to aid learning and subscribing to data weekly will not be ruled out. As a volunteer, my contributions might be required at some points too.

How I intend to raise the funds

Money is hard to come by these days, however, with the right energy, skills and resources, it can be acquired. So to raise funds, I intend to make writing a career in 2023. Which means I'd need to offer freelance services in writing as well.

Will I be needing any assistance? If yes, from who?

Being experienced yet having no high certifications in my proposed writing field, earning a well-paying job in the labour market that can foot all my bills at the moment is almost impossible. This coupled with the present hike in school fees in Nigerian universities means that I would need financial support from my parents mostly.

My emotions when I will accomplish my budget at the end of the quarter

Humans feel fulfilled and accomplished when they achieve their goals. By the end of March, when I'm done growing my blog on Steemit or achieving any other goal listed above, I am very sure that I will feel fulfilled and happy for making the most of the first three months of the year.

Final Thoughts

The year 2022 has had its ups and downs, but better days lie ahead. Despite your challenges, friend, I want to encourage you to remain optimistic as you plan your tomorrow today. If ever you feel like 2022 was never good enough, remember that you lived in a time future historians would regard as a hinge in history. Simply put, 2022 will possibly mark the end of one era and the beginning of another someday. So cheer up, you made history too!
