Warm greetings to my lovely steemit family, it's good to be here with you all, I trust that everything is fine. I couldn't afford not contributing my own quota in this interesting contest and I regret that I am late, that not withstanding I will still share my opinion with you all.

Neclegcts of responsibilities can be seen as an act of abandoning or not putting into consideration the psychological, emotional, spiritual and financial needs of the family.

It is a state of making your family the least of your priorities due to certain reasons such as financial instability, large family size, lack of awareness about the effects of negligence in families, copyright or inheriting ancestral or family's way of negligence among other factors.

I haven't been neglected before. I don't come from a wealthy family, but my parents strived to ensure I was provided with everything that would make me become a better person in life in line with the needs I have mentioned above.

At times it wasn't always them providing for me that intrigued me, but the words of encouragement such as please manage, it will be better someday. Believe me this words of consolation has kept me going.

I have seen several people being neglected and it is not always a thing of happiness. What pains me the most is the fact that most families, considering the reasons for negligence I mentioned in my second paragraph, even after being advised or caution will come up with statements like "it is our duty to reproduce and the Lord will nurture"

No doubt the Lord will always nurture but is that enough reason to bring kids into the world when you are not ready to take responsibility of all the aspects of their needs?

Neglecting kids have negative effects on them, kids who are neglected do constitute a nuisance in the society, they are being exposed to child trafficking, rape and cultism in most cases.

In most cases, they suffer from depression and may engage in illegal acts just to surpress it also, there is a great possibility that they may choose to follow their parents footsteps when they start their own family thereby making negligence in family a perpetual occurance.

My advice to parents who neglect their responsibilities towards their kids is that they should be alert towards their kids needs.

They shouldn't wait until they hit a jackpot before they know that they are supposed to engage themselves in any legal job to be able to provide for their kids

Words of encouragement to the kids should be a necessity and above all love should lead.

My advice to kids who are neglected is, hang in there, be strong and please learn from your parents mistake, ensuring bthat you do not follow the same path, break the jinx.

They should try to still be close to their parents not minding their wrong and conforming not to peer pressure due to the influence of negligence.

In conclusion, I'll say that parents should priotize family and family needs and also endeavor to amend their ways as it is never too late.
