It's said that a teacher's reward is in heaven but I don't think so, they might have a reward in heaven but there's definitely something for them here on earth also.
Being able to teach to people's understanding is one, being remembered for what you thought or how you helped a learner out with a once difficult concept is another beautiful thing. All these and more are some rewards of a good teacher and that was my assignment, impact lives with a difference.
Just like every other working day, I woke up as early as 6am to get ready for the day. I read my Bible, James 1:5 precisely, where it talks about asking God for wisdom if we lack for He would give us without reproach or fault finding.
It was a lovely verse and used that for the day. When I was done with devotion, I did some chores, took my bath and while getting dressed to leave for Abak where I was posted on the assignment of impacting lives, it started raining.
It rained heavily for a long while and I wasn't able to step out early. When it was few minutes to nine, the rain reduced and I got ready and left for Abak. On my way to Abak, I saw many places where the rained seriously affected with flood.

Arriving the school by minutes past ten, I joined in their solemn assembly which was already ongoing. It was a beautiful time as various students came out with special numbers, testimonies, and then, the various staff also gave special numbers.
This beautiful time was concluded by a word from the gospel by the proprietor after which, short prayers were taken and the solemn assembly came to an end by 12:32pm.

After the solemn assembly, every student dispersed to their classes to spend the remaining day learning. During this time, I thought Jss1 mean, median, and mode from Mathematics. When I was done was sure they've understood the lesson, I gave assignments to all to help them practice more for better understanding.

Soon after my lesson, the closing bell was rung by 2pm and the day in school came to an end. While some staffs signed out, parents came in to pick their wards while a few others headed home themselves. Having other activities to, I signed out, leaving Abak for Uyo.

Reaching Uyo, I joined NAEES (National Association of Etim Ekpo Students) executives for a meeting we had at coke stand, a place in school. We were just elected so we had a meeting in preparation for inauguration and other activities.
This meeting lasted a while and by past six, we were able to agree on certain decisions while the president assigned duties to everyone.
From the meeting venue, I went back to the hostel. Feeling tired and hungry, I had a bath, bought food (Melon soup) for 700 naira (1.9924 Steems), ate and went to bed immediately.
In all, it was a good day.
