WEEK 16 CHALLENGE: DRAW A PEACOCK by v-brainer || 10% to steemkids community

Hello Friends, good day to you all, I hope we are all having a great day ahead. I want to specially welcome you to my blog. I want to also thank @eliany for bringing up a challenge like this (draw a Peacock) on steemkids community because it is a thing of joy to participate in a contest like this, so as to showcase and learn also from different drawing techniques from other contestants. Today i am going to be talking about a very special and important animal called Peacock with a step by step illustration of how I was able to come up with the complete drawing of it. Please scroll gradually and read through as we learn more about this particular special animal.

DESCRIBE A PEACOCK
Peacocks are birds with very long tail feathers that looks very colourful and has regular colouration on it like eyespots. They are both wild and domesticated birds that are mainly used for beautifications or for decorative sights. They normally spread out their tail feathers wide to attract the female birds(Peafowl) for mating and when this colourful feathers reflects the sun, it is really a beautiful sight to behold

QUALITIES OF A PEACOCK
✔️ They are very beautiful birds and a good sight to behold and for this reason people domesticate them and keep them both at home and in recreational centers
✔️ They are very wise and coordinated birds and are also friendly to humans
✔️ They have long tail feathers which when spread out helps to attract their mating partner
✔️ Peacocks feed on insects thereby reducing too much insects population in an environment

Before I proceed with Questions and answers about Peacocks let me briefly show a step by step illustration of how I was able to completely draw it.

STEPS I FOLLOW IN DRAWING A PEACOCK
First of all I got my drawing materials set and complete before starting the drawing, these drawings materials includes

• Pencil; for skeching out lines and drawing
• Eraser; for cleaning whenever mistake is made while drawing
• Razorblades; for sharpening my pencil so that the work will be neat
• Plain White Paper; where the the drawing is made on
• board; where the plain paper is placed so as to get a neat drawing
• Thumbtack; to pin the paper to the board so as to hold it firm while drawing
• Crayons/coloured pencils; for colouring and beautifying the work after drawing

HAVE YOU SEEN A PEACOCK BEFORE?
Yes I have seen a Peacock several times; I saw it once in the zoo when my school went for an excursion, I saw it when I went to visit my uncle at his place, and I see it regularly at my neighbors compound in my area

ARE THEY USEFUL TO MAN?
Yes, Peacocks are very useful to man.

• They are consumed as food which is a very good source of protein
• They can be use as business to make money by rearing and selling them
• their colourful feathers too can be used for artworks, I also heard it is used for medicinal purposes
• Peacock itself is used for recreational purpose because of their beautiful look

WHY DO YOU LIKE IT
I like Peacocks because; first of all it is not very common on like other domesticated bird. Also it has a composed behavior coupled with the fact that it colourful tail feathers is amazing to look at. These are some of the few reasons why I like Peacocks.

CONCLUSION
As we have seen and red through, Peacock is a special kind of birth that will not only beautify our environment but can also be a very good source of income for us. It is not commonly seen anyhow so I will encourage us to buy the idea of getting both it(Peacock) and the female(Peafowl) in our homes.
