Story Contest: The Tortoise and the pig

Greetings ma'am @goodybest and all the community members. I welcome you all to blog on this very day. I'm here to share my participation in this lovely story contest.

While I was a child I had numerous lovely stories from my parent, grandpa, and my school teachers. Most of the stories are very interesting and educative as well. But as the contest required, I will be sharing my favorite of them all. Which is the “Tortoises and the Pig.”

A long time ago, in the land of Zanka, there were two best friends tortoise and a pig. They grow up together and eventually do things together so one day the best friends were coming back from the community meeting and the tortoise was his friend to borrow some money for him. At first, the pig said he dont have much money to give out but when the tortoise pleaded with him then he decided to give him the money.

The tortoises were so happy and they all went to their various homes. After some months, it was time for the tortoise to pay back the money he borrowed from his friend but he did not. So the pig went to his house and asked him for the money but the tortoise told the pig to give him some time to put things together so that he will be able to pay the money in a week. The pig was not happy but he still gave his friends a week.

After one week, the pig was on his way to the tortoise's house for the money, but when the tortoise noticed him from a far distance he told his wife to bring out a small piece of flour from the kitchen and place it on his back Then she should use the grinding stone to be grinding the flour on his back. He also told her that when the pig comes she should tell the pig he is not at home.

Immediately the pig reached the house he saw the woman grinding the flour and he asked her, woman where is your husband? But the woman answered and said “ My husband is not at home ” and the pig ask her where he went but the woman said she didn't know.

The big was very angry so he decided to carry the grinding stone and throw it always and he told the woman that if the husband comes back let him know that he was the one the throw away the corn flour and the grinding stone. The woman started crying that the pig has throw away their only food knowing that it was the tortoise he threw away.

After some seconds the tortoise came back home and ask his wife why she was crying she told him that his friend has threw always been the grinding stone and their last food the tortoise asked his friend why he did that. The only thing the pig asks was his money then the tortoise asked him to go and bring back his wife grinding stone first before he will give him the money.

The pig was like that won't be a problem he went to the backyard, to bring back the stone but he could not see it, he was confused and came to tell his friend but the tortoises insisted that once he finds his wife grinding stone he will give him the money. The pig never know that the grinding stone he threw away angrily was his friend the tortoise.

He went in search of the grinding stone but up till now, he was unable to find the stone. According to my grandpa, This is the reason why to date, the pig digs the ground in search of food while at the same time looking for that stone.
