Yewande goes to school

My baby started school and it made me so very happy, because she had been acting like; we take only her sister to school without her, but finally she is now a pupil. And yes, school resumed like 2 weeks ago but this lovely principal resumed just on Tuesday.

Morning
After taking them to school and Dada went off to work, I returned home. Everywhere was so quiet. I took the advantage of them being in school to do some cleanup both inside the house and outside because our washing machine got bad and was taken for repairs. Where the machine was initially kept, was dirty, and I had to cleaned it.

After cleaning, I struggled with what I wanted to eat for breakfast and settled for noodles and fried eggs. Then I play on my bed and set an alarm for an hour before pick up, so even if I sleep I can prepare and meet up with time. As today is our first day, late pick-up will not be a good idea.

Afternoon
It was time for pick up, I went to the school reception for them to announce her name so her class teacher could gather her things and bring her to the door so as not to distract other kids. When I got to her class my little principal was sleeping, today must have been a confusing day for her. I asked her teacher about her reaction and if she adjusted well afterward.

I got her things and was heading home with my sleeping baby when my phone rang. It was my lovely cousin "Esha" she asked if I was home and that she was close by. I got home and dropped "Yewande" to sleep while I removed her shoe but allowed her to sleep with her uniform on. Then I heard voices from the gate, I just knew it was my people.

Got to the door to welcome "Esha and my aunt, I didn't even know Aunty was around because she is based in Kaduna. It was so sweet having them around. "Yewande" woke up during our discussion. I had to remove her uniform and wear something simple for her. I then realized it was almost pick-up time for Tiara and Co.

Cousin "Esha" drove us to school, while Aunty waited in the car. When we got to the reception I told "Esha" to go get "Tiara" at her class I wanted to see her reaction. So she surprised "Tiara" in her class. They came to meet me at the reception because her class teacher needed to be sure I was there waiting. Then I was told "Erika" was not in school.

We got home and settled in, I then called "Mommy Erika" to find out what had made "Erika" and "Chuchu" miss school. I was told "Erika" was coughing and needed to see the doctor while the mom also took the baby for her routine immunization. "Tiara" was on her question and answer section with her "aunty Esha" while my aunty was laughing 🤣cos it was a funny section.

Evening
We said our goodbyes and they left, although I promised to visit them soon enough, maybe this weekend, let's see how it goes.
We did our home fun and the kids went to play in their play corner, with their toys. After playing They left the room in a mess. We fixed it a little and went to the kitchen to get breakfast, after eating it was sleep time.

Night
It felt really good having my extended family around and a huge realization now that "Yewande" is also going to school. It will be more work for me and at the same time, less work in a way, and more rest time for me. My eyes were heavy and my body was ready to accept rest. Good night my lovely Steemians.
