Instilling the God and prayer consciousness in our children

Instilling prayer consciousness in our children as parents by taking our prayer devotion seriously is very much important as we live in a society where people no longer have human feelings for fellow humans such as infants, children and adults. There are lots of barbaric things on going in the world that most times gets me thinking if the people that indulge in such acts have conscience at all.

It is good to instill in our children the prayer consciousness so that they know everything successful in life comes from God and not man. In the Holy book it has been written that Jehovah loves children and forbids anyone who tries to stop them from accessing Him, meaning their access to Him is express. I remember while growing up anything I ever wanted to happen in the place of prayer as a child was given to me by God without delay.

for example I would ask God to provide school fees by blessing my parents and sincerely I never got driven away from school, but you know growing up into adulthood and becoming a wife and mother much responsibilities beckons me that I most time forget to present my needs in the place of prayer. In such a time like this the prayer consciousness instilled in our children counts as they could stand in the gap in the place of prayer for us as parents.

Prayer is an act of worship that is done consciously and intentionally, it is also an act of communication,supplication or intercession channel to a diety . children are recorded in the scripture to have a special place in the heart of God and it is our place as parents or guidance to help them understand that their place in the heart of God can be more profitable to them and the family in the place of prayer, sincerely prayers that proceeds from the libs of children receives speedy answer from Jehovah.

The Bible states clearly that children are special gifts from God ,in accordance to Psalm 127:3,

“Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.”

• Answers are provided

• It helps our children out of temptation

• It helps our children have early relationship with God and depend on him totally in all that they do

• it helps our children to become more like God

• it helps our children align their lives aright as the grow into adulthood.

• It helps them to be submissive to God and their parents.

• It help them to be God conscious even when out of their parent's sight.

Prayers to God overtime as performed many miraculous things and this cannot be over looked, stop a while and reflect, our children will be shouldered with the responsibility to take care of us as parents when we grow into old age some day and so the foundation given to a child will definitely reflect on us when we need their support, good morals and values will breed good children and bad morals and values will be the other way round.
