The kids that love me

Having two elder sisters has given me access to being an aunt to 8 nephews and nieces. My big sister who I am staying with has 4 kids namely,
The first is Esther Amarachukwu, a 10 going to 30 young girl. Then you have Praise who is 8 Kenechukwu who is 7, and Osinachukwu who is 5. These kids are smart, and intelligent and always find ways to get me involved in their affairs even when I don't want to.

Kids show their live in the simple ways and if you are not looking carefully, you might miss them. My kids love me because;

• I am attentive to their needs. They know of a certainty that when they tell or request anything if it is in my power to provide that thing for them, I would. I help them with their assignments, wash their clothes, etc.
• I buy them gifts. At least once a week, when I am coming back from work, I buy gifts: snacks, books, and confectionaries.
• I am playful and kids love when you give them the attention they want and play with them.
• The one they love the most are the cartoons that I download for them. Whenever I mention that I have a cartoon, they will jump up like they won a lottery.

• Through physical touch: They would always find ways to touch you, hug you, or just stay around you.
• They show their love by choosing to spend time together instead of being alone.
  You'd often hear "Aunty Uche, carry me", or " Aunty Uche, please feed me". If a child is not comfortable around someone, there is nothing that will make them want to be around that person, but when they willingly seek me out; that is love.
• They always offer to help me out. They show their love to me by volunteering to help me cook, sweep, and clean the house. They want to be part of what I am experiencing.
• When they show empathy towards me especially when I am going through a bad time. They would come and ask me what the problem is, or simply hug me without saying anything.

Just like anyone who receives a gift, I am elated when they show me this side of them, enough to ask for what they want.

Through their behavior, I am also preparing for how I would be able to train my own kids.
