Age of Empires - To the victory - Part 2 !

Dear Friends,

Today I found some free time and was able to complete the second part of the game. The objective was to attack the 3 town centers of enemies. But as I mentioned in the previous post , it was really difficult with their continuous attacks with cavalry and packman's.

So this is where I saved the game tomorrow. As the attacks were very difficult to manage , I decided to built castles and secure the camp first. So I worked on collecting stones basically paying attention only for that resource. Some how I was able to collect around 1000+ stone resources in a very quick time.

Then I created 3 castles around my town center keeping a calculated distance as each one of them can protect others, triangular positions. After that development I was able to face the attacks very easily without risking my knights. Then I focused on the food resource and started farming. In Age of Empires 2 there are many ways to collect food and farming is the most efficient one from them. The other one is the fish trap.

Then I focused on collecting resources gold and wood as I had to pay for some technological advances. But had to destroy some of the enemy watch towers to capture the locations of gold and stone mines. Somehow I was able to collect them without any issue and I used cavalry for the protection of people at each place as enemies were targeting them.

After collecting the resources the game plan was very clear. I just placed my ships covering the two river crossing points which will cut the resources for the enemies and also it will avoid their attacks 100% as they need to cross the river to reach my land. For this step I completely destroyed their naval strength.

Then 15 cavalry was able to destroy all the three town centers within 10-15 minutes. It was a really nice game and I really love to play this game. I played it exactly after a decade. And I got another game in my mind. Will share with you when I get a chance to play it during this COVID days. So it was the victory as I completed all the objectives.

Thank you

just seeing your pictures brought back fond memories of what I consider to be one of the best RTS franchises of all time. You aren't playing this for the first time ever right now are you? I mean, it's ok if you are... this game is timeless.

Yes this game is timeless. I played this after 10 years .. in my school days this was my favorite. So I wanted to play this again.. not much work in this quarantine days ..

i have never played this game. A few hours of play when I looked at what kind of game it didn't count. That was in 1997. And I have not tried newer series of this game.
But I think it's time to try)))

Actually there are more than 20 versions of this games and they are based on realistic historical incidents. I love this .. yes you should give a try

wow!!! more than 20 versions? I knew there were a lot of them. but did not know that so much.
Dune2, WarCraft+WarCraft2 (warcraft3 is very bad for me) and STARCRAFT!!!
